Yep, Mango, that's the one!!

The chicken found some wheat seed so she goes out and asked, "Who will help me plant the wheat?"
"Not I," said the dog.
"Not I," said the cat.
"Not I," said the mouse.
So the chicken planted the wheat by herself.  Then she went out and she asked, "Who will help me water the wheat?"
"Not I," said the dog.
"Not I," said the cat.
"Not I," said the mouse.
So the chicken watered the wheat by herself.  When it had grown, she went out and asked, "Who will help me harvest the wheat?"
"Not I," said the dog.
"Not I," said the cat.
"Not I," said the mouse.
So the chicken harvested the wheat by herself.  Then she went out and asked, "Who will help me bake the wheat into bread?"
"Not I," said the dog.
"Not I," said the cat.
"Not I," said the mouse.
So the chicken took the wheat inside and baked the bread by herself.  When she took it out of the oven, the other animals smelled it.
"I will help you eat the bread," said the dog.
"I will help you eat the bread," said the cat.
"I will help you eat the bread," said the mouse.
But the chicken looked at them and said, "You didn't help me plant the seeds.  You didn't help me water the seeds.  You didn't help me harvest the wheat.  You didn't help me bake the bread.  You won't help me eat the bread."  So the chicken ate the bread by herself, and the other animals didn't get any.

I don't remember what that has to do wit anything anymore though.

Well, I don't,, but I'm pretty sure I've read a comparable story in my childhood, because I remember the concept of the story.
