This series is made up of some of the best games I've ever played. The story, the music, and the gameplay are the best I've seen in a long while, if not ever. It also took a lot for me to try out the game, cause I was skeptical about a Square-Enix/Disney game. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am so glad that I dived head first into this series. Kingdom Hearts II was also the first game I ever got teary-eyed over. I've also just recently finished Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. It's the first handheld title that felt like it was on par with a console title. I can't wait till Kingdom Hearts III comes out. Supposedly, it'll be the last title in the Xehanort Saga. EPIC!!!

If you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, throw your hands up!  :highfive:

I don't want to like the series, but it's really hard not to.  These games are incredibly fun to play, and the Disney characters actually have relevance today because of Kingdom Hearts.

Unfortunately, Kingdom Hearts 3 won't come out until after FF Versus 13 is done, since that's what the team is working on now.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Aww!  You have the Sword of Hugging +3!  All of your attacks deal affectionate damage!

I love Kingdom Hearts. More than life itself. The plot and the gameplay are fantastic, mini games aside (I despise mini games). I just want Tetsuya Nomura to finish Versus XIII so I can play that pile of awesomeness, and while I'm playing that, he can start on Kingdom Hearts 3.

Seriously, if you're a red-blooded child of the eighties or nineties, there is absolutely NOTHING not to like about Kingdom Hearts! :highfive: I started playing them after seeing the trailer in Gamestop.  The guy in the store was watching it and laughing, and I looked at him and said, "What is this?"  He was like, "It's a new RPG game that Disney contributed to, and it looks AMAZING,"  Jeez, was he right or what?

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to play the third one when it finally comes out.  I don't have the console for it.

Versus XIII is still a work in progress, and it might not even be released in 2012. Nomura has said that he won't even touch Kingdom Hearts III until Versus is released. That being said, I'm wondering if Kingdom Hearts III is even going to be released within this generation. It might get pushed into the next generation. Whatever the case, the console that the game will appear on will be a "must-by" in and of itself. If Kingdom Hearts III ends up being on the Wii U (not looking forward to it), then I'll have to buy a Wii U.  :-\

I am looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 3D (Dream Drop Distance). It's apparently going to turn Sora and Riku into full-fledged Keyblade Masters so that they can prepare for the fight with Xehanort. Which will make Kingdom Hearts III all the more epic.

I loved the first game, but didn't like KH2 and hated Chain of Memories. I pretty much lost interest in the series after that.

I did almost everything in KH1 except beat Sephiroth. Came pretty close, though.  :stabs:

I hate chain of memories, but I loved KH2 and Birth By Sleep. I'm anxiously awaiting 3D. I skipped 358/2 days because, honestly, the whole game was pointless. The entire plot was self-contained. Nothing from that game, to my knowledge, carried over to the rest of the series. All they did was make the overall plot of the franchise more confusing than it already was. I did, however, enjoy RE:Coded. I'm still in the middle of it, but out of the two DS games, it's the better one.

Agreed, RE:Coded is much better, in my opinion. It also has a pretty killer video at the end (which I think I may have spoiled in my last post). Still, 358/2 Days hasn't appeared to be important to the story. The only thing that seemed significant is Xion, but her story is so complex and convoluted. I also didn't like Chain of Memories. I loved Birth by Sleep, but having beat it, the only thing to do now is play all the mini-games (the dreaded Command Board  :o). I think I'm all set though for Dream Drop Distance and then Kingdom Hearts III. WOOT!  ;D

Xion was cool, but she was introduced and killed off within one game, which makes her entire existence pointless. The Kingdom Hearts plot is convoluted enough, and Xion just made it worse. I admit I haven't actually finished RE:Coded or Birth By Sleep, but I intend to someday. the problem for me is the mini games. I despise mini games so much. And the Kingdom Hearts series is one of the worst offenders. Some mini games are required to be passed in order to advance the plot. Like Disney Town. I keep trying and trying at that ice cream mini game from Huey, Dooie and Luie, but I keep failing. I've literally tried that mini game 50 times and failed. There's no skip option, which there should be after so many repeated fails. the worst part is that I got so fed up with the mini game that I actually hit my PSP against my dorm room bed a couple of times. The moral of the story? Don't give me a hard game. I'll get extremely frustrated and  break things. I can get rather violent when I don't win in a video game... But in my defense, Tetsuya Nomura should not make his mini games mandatory or so damn hard, especially when I was playing on the easiest difficulty there is. Also, has anyone here besides me seen the secret movie from Birth By Sleep: Final Mix? At the end, there's mention of a Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: Volume 2. Many people are speculating it to be another handheld video game (my money is on the Playstation Vita). What say you?

I'm thinking it will be Vita as well. If Nomura was quick to hop on the 3DS Bandwagon, I can only imagine Vita needing a Kingdom Hearts title as well. Volume 2 will be very interesting as it is covering Aqua's and Mickey's adventure in the Realm of Darkness. We all know that Mickey eventually met up with Riku in the Realm of Darkness and then traveled to Castle Oblivion. I just want to know what happened to Aqua.

But the series is getting a little old. It needs some good refreshment in the form of a PS3 title!

Agreed ^10!!!

Also, I would like to see some side-quests or optional material beyond mini-games and boss fights with Sephiroth.

And if there is going to be a title on the PS3, I want them to try and top the 1,000 heartless battle that was in KH2.

That 1,000 heartless battle was made of epic win. And normally I complain about having so many enemies  try to kill me at once. But it was a good battle.

As for the vita, how do we know that's what Volume 2 will be about? Is there an interview I missed or something?

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep FM Secret Ending

This is everything that we know so far. In fact, this movie is actually the official announcement of Volume 2. So you aren't missing anything at all. I think the game is only going to reveal where Aqua has been during KH1 and KH2, considering we already know where Terra and Ven have been.  :P

Also, for watching the video, you'll have to invert the colors on your screen to watch it normally.

I've already seen that secret ending a couple of times. Thanks for the link, though.

It's cool, I was just answering your question about Volume 2's content. It's speculation, but I figure it would explain what Aqua was doing in the Realm of Darkness. Also, we know that Mickey was in the Realm of Darkness, because he eventually finds Riku there and travels with him during Chain of Memories. Like the trailer had said, it's like a Kingdom Hearts 0.5 to explain what was happening behind the scenes.
