« on: July 17, 2011, 10:10:58 AM »

I am helping a friend who thinks his brother is doing plagiarism. I swear I have seen this picture before...any help?

After awhile, all anime begins to look the same to me.  :-\

Isn't there an iPhone app or something where you can take a picture of something and it searches for similar images online?  That picture does look familiar to me but I have no idea how to search for it.  That's also just the nature of manga though - once you've seen a few hundred pictures it all starts to look similar.

I found it, I think. So this topic is useless now.

iPhone-shmiPhone. You can do it with Google. ;)

Not only that, but the picture is a prime example of a very generic lolita look.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Is he selling it? claiming that he designed it? IF you asked him if he copied it off a picture does he admit it? If he admits he copied it and isn't selling it I wouldn't worry. There's nothing wrong with referencing art for practise. It's wrong if her references and wont admit it.

It would be wrong, if he expects to get a grade off of it, as an original artwork. That would be just as bad as 'selling it', and would be plagerizing.

It would be the same as turning in someone else's article as their own, or lifting substantial material from another article without referencing it, and then trying to pass it off as their own work.
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

Anyways, I think I know the original person that drew THIS picture. Everyone who steals art has stolen this though so it's hard to know.

This is the original image it was drawn from according to the 'original artist's DA page

She seems to not be from anything. Maybe she was promotional material or something?

Anyways- original artists usually credit other artists so usually it's not hard to find, but I don't think she's from an anime. I don't know anyways,
