UBS: Euro Collapse and Civil War
« on: September 07, 2011, 08:05:39 AM »
Anyone know about this?

http://www.scribd.com/doc/64020390/xrm45126

Apparently its a report from UBS bank warning of potential economic collapse of the Euro and what they speculate will happen if it happens... They are warning that Germany is very close to pulling out of the Union, and it may have some severe impact.

They warn of possible civil war, the rise of authoritarian or military governments from collapse of monetary unions, if and when Euro collapses.

I'm not so much up on the EU, what is UBS exactly?

What would a European Union civil war look like? Or is it civil wars on individual state levels (maybe more Greece style riots)? Who fights in these supposed civil wars? Since don't most european countries have limited military?
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

A European Union civil war would probably look like the old Medieval European conflicts...But with modern machinery. Europe, for whatever reason, has never really worked together for any prolonged period. They always resort in the end to fighting and b***hing. Which is why the Founding Fathers didn't want any entangling alliances with them.

Which was smart idea...

Except the US still seemed to be dragged into the entanglements over the years... During early years of WW1, for example, many in Europe resented the US, 'isolationism', accusing it of being uncaring, and ignoring friends, or that they were oppertunists taking advantage of the war (we were selling supplies and equpment to the various sides early on, and then the Allied powers only midway).
