Well, after playing through OOT both main, and currently still working through the new and improved master's quest... I'm surprised at how good the game actually is... I would love to see them do something similar with Majora's Mask...

Probably one of the darkest and most interesting adventures in the series... Sure it didn't have as many dungeons, but it made up for it with the living and breathing world, and its groundhog day style puzzles...

Yes, I would love to see it end up on the 3DS!

I undertand that its a possibility, but Nintendo wants people to contact them and tell them if they want it... If the get enough requests it will happen...
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

I saw Majora's Mask in the title, and decided to peek inside.  :P

I wouldn't be against a remake, but it might not be enough to convince me to get a 3DS. So far, the only games worth getting for the system are all remakes. Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I'll definitely pick up the Zelda remakes, if I ever get a 3DS, but I would appreciate an original Zelda title as well. I wasn't a big fan of Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks. The last great handheld Zelda game I played was The Minish Cap. If they created a new Zelda that played like Ocarina but was brand spanking new, I'd be sold.

But most definitely, I'd be for a Majora's Mask remake as long as it doesn't give them reason to not make an original title.

Splinter Cell 3D isn't worth getting the system for, btw... It's really kinda of a poor remake... It's more of a port, with some new things added in, or changed...

I only got it because I had a free coupon that made it $10 or so... It's fun, but the levels are so short and split up (same exact levels btw, just split into shorter bite sized chunks), that it really kinda destroys the atmosphere of the original.

Zelda OOT is also more or less a port, with improvements... Boss Rush mode if you like that sort of thing...

But, version of  really had the definitive OOT: Master's Quest, mirrored world, and enemies are twice as difficult than the original! Do way more damage, take more damage than in the original! So its now a real challenge not only in puzzles, but in combat!

QuoteThe last great handheld Zelda game I played was The Minish Cap.
There were things about Minish Cap, that I didn't really like... Primarily the fact that it was so damn short... Not enough dungeons... the dungeons felt short... It also felt more like Capcom influenced it more than Nintendo did... I can't place my finger on what it is exactly,, but each of the Capcom team made games, feel somewhat different in style than the Nintendo made games...

Frankly I'd disagree with you... I seriously loved both Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks... Great stories, great new design ideas, the train was fun and original... The gameplay was incredible... The adventures had decent lengths... My mom loves the games, with their touch screen control, and she's generally horrible at playing earlier Zeldas...

I personally have nothing against the art style either!

Actually, I would ask for them to make an original Majora's Mask: Master Quest! If it is half as good as the original Master Quest, it would make for an incredible experience, and lengthen the game!

Besides I don't think they won't make an original game... It's just that people have been asking for a portable version of OOT for years! Ever since people knew that the DS could handle Super Mario 64...

The only thing that I didn't like about Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks was the fact that you couldn't move around with the directional buttons. The game was fun, an intuitive, but the control design made me annoyed. I didn't like using the touch screen, and I try to avoid using it at all costs. It's more of a personal matter. Both of the games provided a fresh story and allowed for hours upon hours of gameplay, but the controls relatively left in unplayable for me. I'm trying to get a ROM working so that I can play the games without having to use a touch screen, but I don't think a ROM will make it any better. The control scheme will still be kind of goofy.  :-\

I also thought that The Minish Cap was short considering that there were only four dungeons, but the story held my interest and I tried to get all of the collectibles. It lasted me a very long time in the long run. On top of that, I also liked Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. Those games were amazing. They were both long individually, and made for a great combination to unlock all of the extra content.

Ahh man, I loved the touch screen control, it was so innovative, and made the game so much easier... I could totally tear up the enemies! It made the game feel faster paced to me!

The only problem though, is make sure you have a screen protector, the game will scratch up your screen if you don't!

Perhaps, that's one of the Capcom introduced game 'features' that drives me crazy the most... I didn't particuarly like the random dropped ring system in Oracle series... and I don't like having to find random parts for the ship and train in latest games (which Nintendo was obviously inspired from the Capcom games)... I'm at a point in my life, that inane mini games drive me particuarly nuts... and since I have more important things to do, I don't want to have to play some difficult minigame hundreds of times to get ahold of random 'collectables'... I just want to go through the game, and complete the story...

Only worse game as far as hacky/slash stylus ripping was probably Trauma Center! Dear bleeping grr, those alien fish diseases half way through the game, were so hard to kill... I never beat the game...

Tell me about it. It made Operation look like a cakewalk. I do like the style of gameplay though. I played the Trauma Center games on the Wii, and liked that it was more precise. Also, the Under the Knife 2 that came out for the DS seemed as if it corrected all of the faults with its predecessor. I'd like to see more from the series, but hopefully they don't make it so impossible. It's a very niche title after all. I don't think they can afford to annoy the consumers.

I'd prefer to see a more serious operation game, like Life and Death, but with a storyline! Real life surgeries, that sort of drama... Like you see in MASH, or ER.

I was just joking. My sister watches Grey's Anatomy, but besides the fact that it takes place in a hospital, it'll rarely deal with severe surgical processes. But when it does, they are almost fictional cases that are so absurd, that the drama is not legitimate. Almost laughable in some cases. The show is more about relationships between doctors in a hospital. Eh, it's a chick show. You ain't missing much.  ::)

But Trauma Center's stories always interested me, because they dealt with bioterrorism. Also, crazy nutjobs that use the viruses to succumb to some type of "evolution", like the lunatic in Trauma Center: New Blood. It's more than just medicine, it's politics.

Ya the stories in the Trauma Center games was great. I wanted to get more of them, but since I never beat the first, I felt it would have been a waste of money... They should have had an easy mode...

I bought the first one because it looked like it was one of those Japanese style visual novel, types of adventure games. I was a bit surprised with the amount of crazy arcade like boss fights in the game...
