KQ costumes question

What era of history do most of the outfits that KQ characters come from? Not just the Royal Family but also side characters like Cassima, Alhazred, Edgar, Oberon, Titania (and the rest of KQ7's characters), King Caliphim and Queen Allaria and others.

Almost every character in KQ6 especially on the Isle of the crown wears some variation on Persian garb.
