interesting new turn you gave this thread, precisely because I never merged the idea of KQ with Radiohead or Pink Floyd ;P

Nice collection of bands you got going there. Being a Prog Rock head, I have my respects for Pink Floyd and Radiohead. My musical tastes go for the more Genesis like prog rock, and of course, in the same wave, Marillion, my fav band. :) (Others include IQ, Arena, Porcupine Tree and Pendragon).

Anyway, no, King's Quest IX's music will all be a score, completely instrumental except for maybe one or two songs in the game that will be totally original, but, for the most part, it will be instrumental.

Hope that answers the question :)

The complete download, without speech or videos, may go for a good Gigabyte, but then again, i'm not sure at this point.

Alright, I'm done with my Radiohead and Pink Floyd, binge, now it's YOUR turn

Just to be different, this barbershop song *still* makes me think of KQ6...

Quote
Honey doll, make up your mind
Sweetie dear, now is the time
Listen while I make it clear
Why you should be all mine

As long as you're not in love with anyone else,
Why don't you fall in love with me?
You're driving me crazy, baby - trying to guess
Will you tell me no or will you tell me yes?
You gotta go overboard for someone some day
Believe it or not, it's bound to be.
As long as you're not in love with anyone else,
Why don't you fall in love with me, 'cause baby...

First you say you do
And then you don't
And then you say you will
Then you won't
Cause you're undecided now
So what are you gonna do?

Now you want to flirt
And then it's snow
And when you say you'll stay
That's when you'll go
'Cause you're undecided now
So what are you gonna do?

I've been sitting on a fence
'Cause it doesn't make much sense
When you keep me in suspense
And you know it

You promise to return
If you don't I'll really burn
Well - I guess I'll never learn
And I show it

If you've got a heart
And if you're kind
Then don't keep us apart
Make up your mind!
You're undecided now
So what are you gonna do?

So as long as you're not in love with anyone else,
Then why don't you fall in love with me?
You're driving me crazy, baby - trying to guess
Will you tell me no or will you tell me yes?
You know that you gotta go overboard for someone some day
You better believe it baby, cause it's bound to be.
As long as you're not in love with anyone else,
Why don't you fall in love with me, can't you see...

Oh baby, say you'll fall in love...

First you say you do, and then you say you won't, now baby, fall in love...

And... 1GB? *Without* speech? Um, this is intended to be *downloaded*, isn't it? :P

Peace & Luv, Liz

Isn't that The Rolling Stones? I don't know if she did a remake of it or not (sorry, don't pay too much attention to pop)

Oh, and the one for Rosella (I have heard that one) fits perfectly IMO, especially for KQ7

I fail to see how classic rock beats and tunes would have any relevance to a medieval-saga setting.

I tend to agree with that statement.

Was reminded of another today...

For Gwydion: Ask Me by Amy Grant. Maybe not entirely a literal thing (the song's about a girl, for one), but the sentiment is there, IMHO.
