I think the idea is that there's a sense of Fate to all of it--David and Mary Margaret feel pulled to one another despite not really knowing each other that well. Archie feels compelled to tell the truth and encourage honesty even though he has every reason to lie and reap the benefits of it.

Despite Hansel and Gretel's father being pretty adamant that he was not going to make a good father, he was drawn to them the second he saw them. Sidney is clearly loyal to the mayor, despite her worst intentions. And Graham had his own revelations through unadulterated means. There most definitely is a fate of some kind, and it is actively breaking the mayor's curse, slowly but surely. So it only makes sense that Mr. Gym Teacher would find Kathryn's car, because they are drawn to each other. But she really should have apologized for bumping into him in the hallway. That's just rude.

Indeed. I fear her rudeness in that one isolated incident will hang over their relationship, a pall from which they can ne'er escape, dooming them to a life of guilt, regret, and lies.

Hey, that pretty much describes her first relationship, so she's bound to repeat history.  :P

Well, one way or another we can be assured that no one is going to end up with the "right" person in the first season of the show -- the mayor's curse was to prevent everyone from happiness. Until it is actually, truly, broken somehow there will be continuous complications... and even if the right people do somehow end up together, there will be some insurmountable obstacle that will make them unhappy.

Basically, what it is, is the writers made a bunch of characters and were like "What's the worst things we can do to them? And then let's put in a plot that makes it okay we're this sadistic!"

Which, as it turns out, is a genius way of putting together a show. Who knew? :P

I could develop a sleeping pill habit. Last night I didn't fall asleep until 6 am!

SWIM has a sleeping pill habit. :P The highs are really awesome. XD Jamie can attest to this. :P At one point in December as we were drifting off, he heard me run my hands over my arms and gasp: "OH MY GOD! THAT'S MY SKIN!" XD I had no recollection of this the next day. :D

Can I just say, about the end of this week's episode.... I THOUGHT so!
Graham was alive even though Regina had his heart. So, why wouldn't Catherine be? I KNEW IT!
See, I've been looking at the Wikipedia page to keep up with when the episodes come out, so I saw that there was going to be an episode entitled "The Return" ages ago. I've been saying that would happen for weeks.

I was slightly upset by this week's opening dream sequence tho' :-\ (but I guess that does mean the series can potentially go on for longer).

Yes, it was, though no premiere date is official yet.  I liked how they left the door open for some interesting ideas with magic now in Storybrooke.

crayauchtin

I'm concerned for Storybrook. Because, while on the upside, everyone is now aware of the curse which will no doubt help Emma....

Rumplestiltskin, Regina, and the Mad Hatter all kinda hate each other right now.
Rumplestiltskin, Regina, and the Mad Hatter all are gonna have magic back.

With the exception of the fairies (who do not have their fairy dust), none of the other characters really had magic of their own even in the fairy tale land.

So I suspect everyone is pretty much going to be caught in this war between the three of them (though, granted, the Mad Hatter's magic is pretty specific and only has to do with the hat) while trying to figure out why they're not back in the fairy tale land themselves.

I also predict that, with his memory of the fairy tale land back, Prince Charming is hopefully going to be less of a jerkface.

I love this show! I hope they save Prince Phillip as that is my favorite fairytale of all time.

Me too.  Prince Philip is the best of the old school Disney princes.  His battle with Maleficent is just awesome.

I think that amulet has to factor into the story again, otherwise, there really would be no point in having Aurora take it if Philip was killed off, never to be seen again, except in flashbacks.

Although, I guess it could be a plot point where his spirit is seen instead but...I really hope they don't go that route.

Me as well. Both because I like Prince Philip, and I like the actor playing him (*fans self*).  :smitten:

Does this mean you're also a fan of Pretty Little Liars, Katie? Or are you familiar with Julian Morris from somewhere else?
