A friend pointed out there is some similarity between the Weeping Willow song from KQ5, and the song Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables:

What do you think?

I've always thought that as well.  The similarities are definitely there.  However, I doubt it was intentional.  Both are beautiful themes.  I have a weakness for Les Miserables.  Absolutely love that show, and I'm not even usually a fan of musicals.

They both feature a minor key i-V7 cadence, yeah.  That kind of movement can be haunting in music.
