So it seems this YouTube channel shows someone recreating King's Quest VI - apparently by himself - in AGI.

Not seen this mentioned here yet, so apologies if there's any duplication. But all I can say is that kind of dedication is insane. And I hope he can get to finish (and release) it.

Nice.  Hopefully, he will rewrite the dialog to not be so terribly overwrought.

IT's not downgrading it. 8bit has become an art movement in it's own right. Everything is all hyper 3D nowdays that people are looking back to the original 8bit art for somethign fresh and new. Seen Nyancat? Pixel art? Except I think this is higher colour than 8bit. IT's still part of the movement though. IT's all nostalgia. You... probably wouldn't be interested in it much unless you grew up on King's Quest 1,2, 3, or 4

This project is sweet.  He could use a little help with some of the art though, in my opinion.  Some screens really capture the best of AGI graphics circa SQ2/KQ3, but others are downright ugly.  The labyrinth screens in particular look like brown vomit.  He should use grays, blues, and reds to add highlight and shadow elements for added depth.

You should help him. You made some fantastic AGI-ified VGA screens in the past. Of course, you have a kid now...

His aren't the worst either, though. They're at least on par with KQ2 or KQ3. Or somewhere in between.

Ha, yeah...I was being overly negative.  They're actually quite good, for the most part.  Just a handful are really monochromatic and could use some variety.
