Just get her a new Linux Operating System and all crashes will be a thing of the past.

I would give Say my PC but it is making grinding noises that give people headaches and its all around not a very good computer anyhow.

I agree, WinXP is ebil.

As for me, unfortunately I'm broke, and the only PC I have to give away is a 486 with a quirky busted system clock that needs to be rebooted twice to function. Somehow I don't think that's going to help.

Beats me, you'd have to ask the computer.

Seriously, I boot up once, it kicks out an error that the BIOS clock is wrong, and sends me to the setup program to fix it. Then I give it the default settings, and it seems happy and lets me reboot. Until the next time I power cycle, that is.

I'd contribute something to Say's fund...but in the words of my mother "You've got graduate school to save up for"...POO! There's a such thing called loans that are available IF I need them! (don't get me wrong, I'm going to try NOT to get loans...but I'm not ruling out the possibility!)

ugh! ...graduate school cost a lot ; \ ...at least here it does ; ( ...luckily i was able to do it without a loan (with a little/lot help from my parents)

so glad i don't have any debts ; )
