The Hero

Aya Kito was a normal girl until at the age of 14 she was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia,
This disease is a progressive disease, which means it gets worse over time. our brain are made of millions of nerve cells, and ten times that amount of normal cells. In our brain their is a part called the 'cerebellum' this part controls our control. it's the bit we use to move our arms, legs, mouth ect it's also connected to our spinal cord, our spinal cord make us move automatically when our body is danger, eg you touch something to hot you move your hand away without thinking about it.
when people have SCA (spino...) the nerve cells in the cerebellum are destroyed, no one knows why the cells do this, but without them you can't control the body. as they are lost a bit at a time the victim slowly looses the ability to use their bodies a bit at a time.
Aya slowly lost all of her speech and walking ability and was confined to a wheel chair and to her bed until sadly she died at the age of 25 but she left us with one thing her diary
many people are unaware that the book is translated so here it is
It is available in English here

Yep, that's a pretty sad and gruesome disease.  Poor girl.  Interesting diary, for sure.  Makes you count your own blessings for sure.

It really does inJher story is huge  there is both a film and a mini seris the book however is inspiring thanks for the feedback Bt if anyone knows about health issues its you and me that reminds me how did Steve stock ever take off man?

Blackthorne

Yeah, Steve-Stock was a big success, actually.  My friends and family raised a good chunk of change - which came at an amazing time, because I got the call that a kidney was available to me about a week and a half later.  Couldn't believe the timing.  The money really helped, and my new kidney is working amazingly.  I haven't felt this good in years.
