I've been looking forward to this and now the recently released teaser has really grabbed me. Fans of the Alien series will notice a few key similarities.

Like the way they just took the original Alien trailer sounds and the title animations to say: "Yep, it's an Alien-film, though we said earlier that it won't be".

How much money are you guys willing to bet that the story goes something like this: Evil humans from the future find some extraterrestrial DNA, combine it with their own (perhaps in an accident) and then they turn into creatures one by one. A robot or a corporate stooge than tries to stop people from killing it and all hell breaks loose. I'll bet that the Space Jockey is propably just one of the mutated crew.

Intriguing. This new trailer is *veeeery* remeniscent of Alien but hey, Alien was a great movie. And maybe Scott will do something different with the formula.

Also, that line: "Miss Vickers, is there an agenda that you're not telling us about?" Well gee, I wonder. ::)

Knight errant and consort to Her Grace the Empress Deloria of the Holy Roman Empire, Queene of all Albion and Princess Palatine.

Cez

so has anyone seen it yet? I saw it last friday.

It was ok. Cinematography was breathtaking, but there were too many wtf moments.

My wtf moment #1 was... SPOILERS AHEAD.

Why did they do that whole saving Charlize Theron character sequence only to have her die 2 seconds later? That made absolutely no sense to me.

Who says she's dead.  Or not a robot.  She is Weyland's "Daughter"....
