Anyone else a Cure fan? Even though they seem to have a habit for being notoriously depressing I still love 'em.

Love the Cure!  Love 'em.  Boys Don't Cry is a classic!

Wow say, we're like, the same person. I laugh at those fools who like TooL better than APC.

Well, I happen to be one of those "fools".  I liked you with the Cure and APC.  I stopped liking you with that comment. :D
Here's why its an ignorant statement:
1) Taste is personal.  No need to judge it.
2) They're different.
Tool has a heavier, more aggressive sound to it.  APC is definitely more mellodic.
Lyrically, Tool is also much more...weird/messed up, so to speak.

So yes, I like Tool more.  I do think APC's first album was absolutely amazing.  I think Opiate, Undertow, and Anemia were all brilliant.
APC's Mer de Noms was disappointing.
Tool's Lateralus was disappointing.
Both had their gems.

Sorry J-ROC I apoligise if I truly offended you with my musical tastes. I never said I didnt like tool, they share a spot with APC on all my playlists. I suppose it's just that APC is freakin amazing and tool is just plain awesome... Most of the time. Then again APC definately has their off moments too.
As a matter of fact...

Like that base intro to schism? *salivates*
Not to mention parabol and parabola of course.

Anyone listen to the Rock Against Bush Vol.1 CD? It's pretty awesome. I like the fact that the bands all came together for a valid cause. The DVD extras/inside booklet has some information everyone should see before voting, especially if you plan on voting for Bush-I'm definately not going to vote for him, never would have, actually, but that's beside the point. The 2nd one should even be better-release date: August 2004.
"And still we all are so hopeful,
So righteous in our blood.
It looks so tarnished in our eyes,
Yet so afraid of...

Fading into nothing,
Fading into nothing.
Just a trace of light
That burns within our thoughts... "

I overreacted and was kinda pissy.  I apologize for that.  I just think it's an odd and unncessary statement.  APC is wicked good, for sure.  But to like either band more doesn't make anyone a fool.   Heck, even the people who like Brittney or whatever aren't fools.  They just have crappy taste in music. :D
BTW:  Tool is working on a new album, too! Yay!

I think my favorite is the ending to Schism.  Makes me want to break things. :D
I also really like Ticks&Leeches.  Brutal aggression in that song.  Love it!
And the minute long scream in "The Grudge"....mind boggling.  What a voice!

I really like both Tool and APC i recently seen APC in concert and they were really good, BUT, the opening act was a band i hadnt heard of before, "The Mars Volta" and let me tell you they blew me away and stole the show im my mind.

Favorite band of mine is Nine Inch Nails though, i do like alot of diffrent music but my favorite is metal industrial, Rammstein and Sevendust are also two of my favorite bands, ive yet to see Rammstein in concert though, Sevendust is a must see for anyone that hasnt been to a concert of theirs.

Also i forgot to mention before Weezer is like nothing compared to the other music i listen to but i love that band.
