Amos Moses -> Jerry Reed

Yay! Here comes Amos!
Now Amos Moses was a Cajun.
He lived by hisself in the swamp.
He hunted alligator for a livin';
He'd just knock them in the head with a stump.
The Louisiana law gonna get you, Amos.
It ain't legal hunting alligator down in the swamp, boy!

Now everybody blamed his old man
For making him mean as a snake:
When Amos Moses was a boy
His daddy would use him for alligator bait
- Tie a rope around his waist and throw him in the swamp! (Ha-ha-ha!) Alligator bait in the Louisiana bayou!
About forty-five minutes southeast of Thibodeaux,
Louisiana Lived a man called Doc Mills South and his pretty wife Hannah.
Well, they raised up a son that could eat up his weight in groceries-
Named him after a man of the cloth; Called him Amos Moses. (Yay! Ha-ha!)

Now the folks around south Louisiana
Said Amos was a man-
He could trap the biggest, the meanest alligator And just use one hand.
That's all he got left 'cau' de alligator bit it! (Ha-ha-ha!) Left arm gone clean up to the elbow!

Well the sheriff caught wind that Amos
Was in the swamp trappin' alligator skin, So he snuck in the swamp: "Gonna get de boy,"
But he never came out again.
Well, I wonder where the Louisiana sheriff went to . . .
Well you can sure get lost in the Louisiana bayou!
About forty-five minutes southeast of Thibodeaux, Louisiana Lived a cat called Doc Mills South and his pretty wife Hannah.
Well, they raised up a son that could eat up his weight in groceries- Named him after a man of the cloth; Called him Amos Moses!

East Bound And Down -> Jerry Reed

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on your trail.
He aint gonna rest 'til you're in jail.
So you got to dodge 'im and you got to duck 'im,
you got to keep that diesel truckin'.
Just put that hammer down.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

When You're Hot, You're Hot -> Jerry Reed

Well me and Homer Jones and Big John Talley
Had a big game goin' back in the alley
And I kept rollin' them sevens, winnin' all them pots
My luck was so good I could do no wrong
I jest kept on rollin' and controllin' them bones
And finally they jest threw up their hands and said
"When you hot, you hot"
I said "Yeah?"

When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
Put all the money in and let's roll 'em again
When you're hot, you're hot
(La la la la la la la) (La la la la la)
(La la la la la la la, when you're hot, you're hot)

Well, now every time I rolled them dice I'd win
And I was just gettin' ready to roll 'em again
When I heard somethin' behind me
I turned around and there was a big old cop
He said "Hello, boys" and then he gave us a grin 'n' said
"Look like I'm gonna hafta haul you all in
And keep all that money for evidence"
I said, "Well, son when you hot, you hot"
He said "Yeah"

When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
You can 'splain it all down at City Hall
I say, yeah, when you're hot, you're hot
You're hot
(La la la la la la la) (La la la la la)
(La la la la la la la, when you're hot, you're hot)

Well, when he took us inta court I couldn't believe my eyes
The judge was a fishin' buddy that I recognized
I said "Hey, judge, old buddy, old pal"
"I'll pay ya that hundred I owe ya if you'll get me outta this spot"
So he gave my friends a little fine to pay
He turned around and grinned at me and said
"Ninety days, Jerry, when you hot, you hot"
'N' I said "Thanks a lot"

When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
He let my friends go free and throwed the book at me
He said "Well, when you're hot, you're hot"

I said, "Well I'll tell ya one thing judge, old buddy, old pal
If you wasn't wearin' that black robe I'd take out in back of this courthouse
And I'd try a little bit of your honor on
You understand that, you hillbilly?
Who gonna collect my welfare?"
(When you're hot, you're hot)
"Pay for my Cadillac?
Whadda you mean 'contempt of court'?"
(When you're hot, you're hot)
"Judge"

Ko-ko Joe -> Jerry Reed

Up in Appaloosa County there's a place called Ko-ko ridge.
Sets a right on the bend on the Etowah River where the water washed away the bridge.
Cotton Mouth Country.
A river rats knee high.
Way up around the back border lived a man that the river folks talked about:
They said you better stay away from Ko-ko Joe 'cause he's crazy no account.

Ko-ko Joe, they called him the Etowah River swamp rat and folks despised him.
Ko-ko Joe, he was an awfully peculiar man; The river was his only friend.
And the folks didn't understand the man Ko-ko Joe.

He eat monkey meat 'n mashed potatoes, he drunka brew called the Mojo Claw,
that he beat out-a roots from ol' dead stumps on the banks of the Etowah.
Made him walk a little funny.
Made his breath smell funky.
Well, he never came across the river, 'cause the folks didn't like him in town.
They said his hair was long, his clothes were dirty, they didn't want him hanging around.

Ko-ko Joe, they called him the Etowah River swamp rat and folks despised him.
Ko-ko Joe, he was an awfully peculiar man; The river was his only friend.
And the folks didn't understand the man Ko-ko Joe.

Well, it happened a year ago Sunday, and they still talk about it today.
How the dam broke loose on the Etowah River, nearly washed everybody away.
The river water rising,
washing up all the bushes.
Well, the headlines read how a mother said, "My son would have lost his life!"
But he was pulled from the mud in the Etowah River by the man y'all all despise.

Ko-ko Joe, they called him the Etowah River swamp rat and folks despised him.
Ko-ko Joe. So be careful what you say my friend, about folks you don't understand.
Some day you might need a man like Ko-ko Joe.

Paul Young & Clannad - Both Sides Now

...I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all...
"Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

YOU KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT
By Nirvana

I will never bother you
I will never promise to
I will never follow you
I will never bother you

Never speak a word again
I will crawl away for good

I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew it would come to this

Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to fail

Pain
You know you're right

I'm so warm and calm inside
I no longer have to hide
Let's talk about someone else
Steaming soup begins to melt

Nothing really bothers her
She just wants to love herself
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew it would come to this

Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to fail

Pain
You know you're right
Just look at me,
I'm living proof that,
TIME HEALS NOTHING!

Joe Nichols -> Cool To Be A Fool

Here I sit a nobody with no one
Bein' me ain't really all that fun
Leavin' her wasn't very smart
Admittin' I was wrong wouldn't be so hard
If it was cool to be a fool
I'd be the hippest guy around
If a heartache made you famous
I'd be known from town to town
If tears were made of pennies
And a cold beer brought her back
My bank account and self esteem
Would both be in the black
If some Hollywood producer made a movie that was sad
About some guy who lost the best thing he ever had
Hey, I could be a star
If it was cool to be a fool

But we all know the way it really is
You don't get recognized for doin' things like this
You spend a lotta time feelin' sorry for yourself
It doesn't really mean that much to anybody else

If it was cool to be a fool
I'd be the hippest guy around
If a heartache made you famous
I'd be known from town to town
If tears were made of pennies
And a cold beer brought her back
My bank account and self esteem
Would both be in the black
If some Hollywood producer made a movie that was sad
About some guy who lost the best thing he ever had
Hey, I could be a star
If it was cool to be a fool

Hey, I could be a star
If it was cool to be a fool

WALLS (CIRCUS) -> TOM PETTY

Some days are diamonds
Some days are rocks
Some doors are open
Some roads are blocked

Sundowns are golden
Then fade away
But if I never do nothing
I'll get you back some day

Cause you got a heart so big
It could crush this town
And I can't hold out forever
Even walls fall down

And all around your island
There's a barricade
It keeps out the danger
It holds in the pain

Sometimes you're happy
Sometimes you cry
Half of me is ocean
Half of me is sky

But you got a heart so big
It could crush this town
And I can't hold out forever
Even walls fall down

And some things are over
Some things go on
And part of me you carry
Part of me is gone

But you got a heart so big
It could crush this town
And I can't hold out forever
Even walls fall down

Baby you got a heart so big
It could crush this town
And I can't hold out forever
Even walls fall down
They fall down
Just look at me,
I'm living proof that,
TIME HEALS NOTHING!

Louisiana Night

David Lee Murphy -> Loco

Little hula girls on the shot glass
All we need's a little salt & lime
We can plug in the hot pepper lights and pretend
That we're livin' on Key West time
I can run to the store and get some charcoal
Buy a tiki torch and fire up the grill
The whole town wants to know when I'm gonna grow up
But you know I never will

CHORUS

Yeah I might be a little bit loco
But it keeps me from losin' my mind
Oh but half insane that's ok
Babe a little bit crazy's alright

Nothin' wrong with a little excitement
No it makes me forget about work
'Cause I live by the rule that everything's cool
Just as long as nobody gets hurt
Hey I feel like I'm on vacation
Honey you say the word and we'll go
'Cause you're getting to me in those cut off jeans
And that T-shirt from Sloppy Joes

CHORUS

Hey I might be a little bit loco
But it keeps me from losing my mind
Oh but half insane that's ok
Babe a little bit crazy's alright
Yeah the deep end might be so close
Oh that I'm hangin' on for dear life
Yeah I might be a little bit loco baby
But a little bit crazy's alright

Kenny Rogers ->Lucille

Lyrics and MIDI

You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille,
With four hungry children and a crop in the field
I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times
But this time your hurtin' won't heal,
You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille
