I saw V for Vendetta recently too! I like the first two Matrix movies better, perdonally; they conveyed a similar message, but the work was more original in the Matrix. However, you gotta love Hugo Weaving!  ;D  <3

I don't have to love anyone I don't wanna. ;P

V for Vendetta wasn't all that great from my point.  Not bad, but not that special either.  I never fall asleep in movies, but I did in V. :P

King Kong... yup, I'm one of the few that didn't see it in theatre.  Again, alright... but the cheesey lines kinda ruined it for me.  Cheesey lines are good when they suit the movie... but when you're expecting a fully dramatic flick, it takes you a bit off guard.

16 Blocks was rather good.  Mos Def... he always takes me by surprise because he's made a great conversion from rapper to actor.  He's quite natural and plays the parts phenominally well.  Bruce Willis was Bruce Willis.  Solid, but nothing spectacular.  Plot was also decent.

The Inside Man was pretty good.  Clive Owen was good and Denzel Washington was great.  There were certainly some different twists and different perspectives with the cinematography... but it was quite entertaining.  I did enjoy it.

I can understand what you mean about unexpected cheeseyness. Fortunately, I got the idea that there would be some cheesey lines in the film from the online production diaries. So I was more prepared for it. :)

I still haven’t had the chance to see Narnia. I know some fans of the books didn’t care for it too much, but since I've yet to read them, I'll have nothing to compare it to. (Except the BBC production, which I haven’t seen in years.)

V for Vendetta looks good too. ;D

In wasn't all that impressed by Narnia. Lord of the Rings was a lot better. Tilda Swinton was good as the Witch, though.

Saw this last night and was presently suprised!

I didn't like 3 much so wasnt expecting much from this but it was really hilarious for the majority of the film. It dragged a bit near the end but the final scene was in my opnion the funnies of the entire film! That guy has Tom Cruise's mannerisms down to a tee!

Anyone else seen it yet?

I finally got to see Narnia last night, and while I'll agree that it wasn't as good as LOTR, I thought it was very good. ;D

Even though there are similarities between Narnia & LOTR, I think that they are very different in many ways, and I found that I enjoyed the movie more when I wasn't trying to compare it with LOTR.

Of course I might like the film less if I had read the novel before seeing it, but perhaps not. Making a movie has to be approached differently than a book, so deviations from the original material are usually inevitable.

I have. :suffer: Liked the whole thing. :)  I disagree with what you say on the third movie though.  Although it was the first I've ever seen, I don't think it was dull at all. It was just less gross than the fourth.

But don't you know? The theatre brainwashes people into liking movies...how else do you explain all the people who liked Revenge of the Sith? :P

It's a conspiracy, and it might tie into Orlando Bloom's unnatural popularity..hmm...

Yeah, I mean it had action but otherwise it lacked. All the scenes without a saber fight were boring as hell.

The old films just seemed to flow nicely and had you intrigued the whole time. Sure RotS may have been good for some, but it still lacked the quality of the old ones.

That's my opinion anyway. :P
