[FIXED]cant get the game to run (Category: Video)

just downloaded the full build of episodes 1-4..the config window opened,  and there are no error notifications..i got win xp 32 bit what might be the broblem? it just wont run

So what happened when you tried to run the game?  Absolutely nothing at all, or did it switch to a black screen momentarily and then just go back to your desktop?

Also how much RAM and how much dedicated video memory does your computer have?

I'm having the same problem. Just downloaded complete 1-4 build. When I try to run, it switches momentarily to a black screen then back to desktop. The first time, I saw a message from Microsoft Security Essentials but too quick to read. I disabled 'Real Time Protection' in MSE in case it was that, but no difference. I reduced game speed and detail to minimum in setup but still no difference. Win 7 32 bit with 4G RAM. I'm itching to play, so all suggestions gratefully received!

That's typically an indication of some problem getting the video initialized.  Try visiting your computer manufacturer's website to pick up any updates they have for your video setup, and if that doesn't get it running make sure you have the "fullscreen" option unchecked in the game's options as that mode is more taxing on video resources than running the game in a window is.
