Louisiana Night

QuoteAs in that guy from the Alamo who had what is now called the Bowie knife??

Yep.

I'm from Louisiana, so it would be hard for me not to know who he is(though he's not as well known in Louisiana, as he is in Texas). He's thought of the same way in Louisiana, as Davy Crocket is thought of in Tennessee.

TV series theme song.

He roamed the wilderness unafraid
From Natchez to Rio GrandeWith all the might of his gleaming blade
Flashing from either hand
Jim Bowie! Jim Bowie!
He was a fighter, a fearless and mighty adventurin' man!

Funny, I haven't heard of Davy Crocket in years :P  But at least I know who he is!

He(Davy Crocket) wrote an autobiography. I know a guy that has the book, maybe I'll ask to borrow it later.

Getting back on topic.

I like Oliver Twist, sometimes the songs get stuck in my head.

Has anyone in the forum, been compared to an old movie star(looks/speech/behavior/etc)?

I've been compared to Jerry Lewis(which I find disturbing). :P

Someone drew a picture of mine head and put a poke'ball next to it and compared it.  Does that count?
She's back. She's proud. She will overcome!

I don't think so. :-\ :P

Anyone here watched Annie(the movies)?

If so, which do you think is better, the first or the second(remake)?

Personally, I don't care too much for either, but I prefer the original/first movie. SOMEBODY POST!!!

B'rrr

I've only saw the origional, and well... I didn't liked it ...must have been because i was kinda forced to see it 3 times or so  :X :X

I've read both books, the regular one and the movie book :P
The main thing I remember about the regular book, is that the character's eyes were painted blank (all white). It was really creepy, and I wondered why it was done that way :S

Two of my favorite old movies are Being There and Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
