i have the magic bag, nightshade, and animated vessel. i have examined multiple videos and walkthroughs and they all state that i should have lethal liquid crossed off as i have the nightshade. yet it is not. i have watched people do it the same way i have with no issues so i know that picking up nightshade before getting animated vessel is not effecting this. on last note, i will say my understanding that this was suppose to be an adventure game like kings quest series. unfortunately coming from someone who has played 1-6 very recently so my memory is very fresh. this is very unlike the kq series as the kq series was a lot more play by ear and wander around solving problems while this is more run around do something and see about 10m of cutscene.

Well, nightshade is a flower so it actually isn't the lethal liquid. There's no glitch, you just still have some puzzles to solve. Try checking in with some old friends in the book store.

And keep in mind that episode 1 is mostly exposition and 2 is pretty short. 3 and 4 are both very puzzle heavy and they're a lot of fun.

You may have missed something in the videos you watched as the nightshade flower is not a lethal liquid.  Have you talked to Jollo yet?  If so you probably have an item that gets you halfway toward gettingt he lethal liquid.

no i have not missed something. walkthroughs specifically state that after getting magical bag, they go to sacred mountain, pick up nightshade, go up and get hole in wall, go to isle of wonder, fill flask with sea water, go inland, spray the sour grapes with sea water, use gold to lure magnet to key, get key, use key to open lock, use cloak to pass guards, go to castle, use hole in wall on cabinet to get the moving teacup. at this point every video and walkthrough state that you now have all three items.

as to talking to jolo i have, i did that right at the beginning of the game. i have shown flower to jolo, book keeper, ferryman and no options. i have already played the game enough to know that dialog options are set at start of the episode so there is no more dialog to choose. no one is interested in the flower, there is no items that interact with the flower, i have revisted all three available items with no new items anywhere on them. there is no item that i have seen in the scenery that flower will interact with leaving no available options.

The flower is not used in Episode 2 at all.

Jollo gives you a fake arm which you then use on the black widow to get some of her venom.
