The most suspenseful thing about that game was wondering if it was about to crash. :P

It's funny; I've heard people say that about QFGIV for years, but I never once had a problem with it.

Now that it is installing I have to ask, is anyone having trouble with Shadows of Darkness?

Near as I can tell QFGIV has so many game breaking bugs, but no one ever seems to encounter the same ones all at once.  I always have issues with the Chernovy but have never had issues with the Domovoi not appearing or some endgame issue I've heard mentioned before.

5 QfG games for 10 bucks?!  Wow!  I wish they'd do that with some other series.
*Can hear the girlish squeals the Internet over*

I wonder if this'll get GoG some face time at Comic-Con.  ;)

Hmmm... like maybe a certain series involving a certain former knight who became a king and had a family with big adventures?

I never played a QfG game before, so I assume now would be as good a time as any. I also think they should start to bundle some of the older titles into their respective series for a convenient price. I want to buy the King Quest series on GoG, but it's ultimately $30, while this series is $10. Quite a difference there.

Which is too bad because I think QFG is on par, if not better than King's Quest.

Obviously, I love KQ, but it didn't really get an interesting plot until KQ3. QfG was pretty interesting, story-wise from the beginning and it has a lot of replayability. The combat's a little bare-bones, but the combination of adventure-style puzzles and RPG-style stats is a lot of fun. XD

And, let's be honest, I'll play anything with a thief option. :P

B-but what about Erana?! She won't marry a thief!

There is the difference of KQ having 8 games and QFG only having 5. But for $30 that puts the KQ games at about $3.75 a piece, and the QFG games $2 each. I guess GoG (or ActiVision? Who sets the prices anyway?) considers the KQ games to be more worth the extra $1.75 per title than QFG.

It's not giving in, Katie - It's buying in to great entertainment!

No idea what you are talking about (never actually played V) but Thief and Erana are the perfect heroic duo.  She provides safe haven and magical instakill sticks, while Thief gets the hero bills paid in ways she would never consider.  If they were married it might upset the "don't ask don't tell" balance between the two.
