Mmmm... milk! I love milk!

- Is wondering if it's possible still to get the full soundtrack to the AGD remake of King's Quest 2, with all 100+ songs from the Quest Studios songlist on it? Because they don't have everything, and some of the stuff they do have is actually wrong.

For example, the score for Kolyma, the town. Above it is the "failed Duck Grab" jingle, which plays correctly. You click on Kolyma below it... and it plays the "Failed Duck Grab" instead of the peaceful town music in-game.

Another example is the "Random Enchanter Encounter" IIRC, which used to work just fine. until one day, I played it, and instead of the "You have run into an evil enchanter!" music I was expecting... I got an admittedly very nice version of the King's Quest 3 introduction theme, which was beautiful, but not what I wanted.

Is there any way, MusicallyInspired, to either fix the tracks and get them all on Quest Studios? or to do what you did for the KQ3Redux and release the full soundtrack that way? Because there is no "download Soundtrack Here!" button in that section, unlike QFG2AGD.

- About to start reading The Hobbit. I'm gonna get through this series if it's the last thing I do!

- Happy that, as of yesterday, and having started a new file as a Fighter, that I was ACTUALLY ABLE TO KILL SOMETHING IN SHAPIER! A Brigand specifically. I am so proud of myself! :)

*praying SO HARD that this opportunity pans out this time. I don't want something wiggling in my face and then torn away again.

Sorry.  I had a terrible mental image from that.

- Writing in this thread.
- Checking some sewing patterns I bought.
- Hoping the blue fleece comes in next week for my costume for Halloweekends.
- Nursing my feet after spending half the afternoon fixing things in the bathroom.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

- deleting said ads & banning the account posting them!

I was kind of hoping, after going thorugh several of them, that he would have at least posted in the 'What Would You Bring on an Adventure?' thread, though. He had a very expansive answer ready!

Oops, should have clarified. Sometimes you run into an opportunity and you think it's perfect for you. No matter much wishing/praying, it doesn't work out. and then you're left at square one again. Sometimes i wonder if the universe is teasing me by showing me awesome opportunities but then it doesn't pan out. I want to know when it's my turn :(

The waiting sucks, Kristen. No denying that. Hell, when I'd just graduated college to a s****y job market, I was lucky enough to find TSL and it became the thing I loved to do, while trying to get a job and get my life going was not always working out so well.

Ugh, now I'm remembering more of my first year out of college and how much it sucked in a lot of ways. I graduated, moved home with my parents, got heartbroken & dumped, had no job, had s****y temp jobs, had a lot of hang-ups about my ex...gah! Those first six months really blew. TSL was the shiny bright spot for me back then. :)

Best I can say is keep trying. Learn something from the setbacks. Let it all make you a stronger & better person. Something WILL work out and it'll be great, I promise. And find things you love and enjoy in the meantime.

Since I know you're a writer, have you heard of NaNoWriMo? If not, you should look into it and think about doing it!

One of my friends in the journalism field found a startling statistic: 13% of the 18-29 age bracket are unemployed. So, I'm not alone.

I've heard of NaNoWriMo, but I'm not sure it's for me. I like to take my time to write and edit stuff and I'm not sure I could write my best quality work in just one month. For example, I've started a fan fiction in addition to Four Winds and I haven't updated in two weeks. I'm working on it tonight, though. Will I finish the chapter tonight? I'm not sure.

FW has been a godsend for me, though. It gives a sense of purpose and get experience working with people and do something I love, writing and King's Quest. Sometimes, I forget not everyone on staff is a die KQ fan and I have explain myself some more. I don't mind doing it. And it boosts the resume, I must say :)

Oh yes, I had heartbreak happen to me, too. I ran into my ex (we've been in and out of contact for awhile) back in December right before I graduated and we had one last stint that broke my back figuratively. I was done with him. So I've had to deal with my feelings about him on top of this. I feel a lot better about it than I did but it takes time. I hope I can do better :/
