Hey all, I'm hoping someone here can help me with an issue I've been having all year since I got my current laptop.

My old laptop ran Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit and I had no problems running any of my games, but this one, which runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit I have to use windowed mode for Dragonsphere, Al Emmo & The Lost Dutchman's Mine and King's Quest 7: The Princeless Bride (on my Vista those 3 could be ran fullscreen)  In addition to having to run those windowed, I cannot play Nancy Drew 14: Danger  By Design, or Nancy Drew 15: The Creature Of Kapu Cave (again, they played fine on my vista)

Our family has a desktop computer with the exact same windows version as my laptop, and those 5 games have no issues, so I have no idea what's keeping my laptop from being able to play them.  Is there anything I can do?

My first thought would be that the video drivers could use updating - have you tried the site for the manufacturer of the video card?

I have, but I'm not sure what to download.  When I click Start > then type dxdiag then click the display tab the first 3 lined on the left-hand side are:

Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip Type: Intel(R) HD Graphics (Core i3)

I did also see a button that said to run in 64-bit (I forget the wording) and I clicked it...here's a screencap of what it says

I did also post my issue on gog and tried everything the people on there suggested, with no success.  This is the thread  http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/can_anyone_help_me_1   I'm starting to think it's an absolute doom  :(

Ugh, Intel graphics. It definitely sounds like an issue with the graphics card, though it's a little odd because there's really nothing spectacularly demanding about the graphics for those games. What happens when you try to play the ND games?
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

I've read that Intel graphics often have problems with OpenGL - I don't know if that has anything to do with it. :-\

When I try to play ND 14 and 15, it freezes on the screen that's a manila color, with the magnifying glass.  If you hit the windows key to minimize the game window, it goes to the desktop, and when you reopen the window it does go back to the game, and the game menu is up, but the cursor won't move at all
