After reading another thread, I have to conclude that a kayak is an absolute necessity, especially in an adventure game area.

Knife, needle and thread, and hammer.

Don't ask why, those were the first items to come to mind. Oh, and my iPod. Gotta jam to Backstreet Boys while adventuring!

I've got the feeling that this going to turn into as much as a forum meme as calling Sir Cray "the mutton" is.

I still don't get that... but then I don't have a kayak either... if I got a kayak, would I get calling Cray "the mutton"?

The mutton is displeased that Delling doesn't get it yet.

(PS I would bring mutton too.)

It happened once a few weeks ago in the Asylum. I wouldn't really call it a meme though.

I would bring a 75lb bag of cocaine.

You could use it to stay up for days to solve a puzzle.

You could trade it for other items.

You could use it to kill enemies.

It's really an all purpose kind of substance.

Might work... provided the adventure game in question isn't Police Quest. :P

You know, if you'd written that a few months ago, I wouldn't have known what you were talking aboiut. Now, thanks to the awesome Dilandau 3000, I do.  :)

Hahah!  Yeah... might not work so well in that one!

Let me see if I remember exactly what tends to get the most use in a point and click adventure game.

Actually wait I know already

A Backpack... For all those items I'll need to pick up.

Drugs will pretty much get you killed in just about any point and click made by Sierra.

Phui! Real men and women stuff things down their pockets.

Hmmm...Things to take on an adventure game... Well, honestly, a rubber-band would probably be helpful. those have a lot of uses. I'm using one right now to hold my pricing gun from work together... And maybe a box cutter or something to defend myself with and to break down boxes, in the even I encounter any. And for any items I encounter along the way, my hyperspace arsenal works fine to store them. EVERYONE needs a hyperspace arsenal! If you haven't gotten one yet, do so now. I think they're on sale...

Even better: Duct tape!

Yes, Duct Tape is a must! One of the most essential parts of an adventure. So Duct tape, rubberbands and a hyperspace arsenal... What else would I be able to bring with me?

Well the thing is that I can think of quite a few items that will always be needed in a point and click

Such as a rope and a stick.
