The hallucination thread! ^^

So I did this thing earlier today where I took lots and lots of codeine because I'm preseptic and then the room was spinning around me for a while and I could hear singing that wasn't there. Normally I'd go to Brandon with stuff like this, but he's sometimes not around when I might have random revelations which I will consider to be absolute truths but will have no recollection of later...so this thread now exists so I can keep a record of them. Please bear witness to my fail, my OMG-WHAT-IS-HAPPENING moments and the amusing/disturbing anecdotes or entirely fictional nonsense I may come up with when I have absolutely no inhibitions.

I had a different comic in mind...the one where the guy takes his laptop to dreamworld...but the xkcd search engine is useless and I'm in too much pain for this so I'm just going to potentiate massively with dextromethorphan and gratefruit juice and then try to sleep.

EDIT: It's so weird that the spell checker offers me "anthropomorphize" as a spelling suggestion for "dextromethorphan" ...I could break both words down now and they clearly have no common stems, in spite of both of them being compound words...stupid spell checker.

...And then my cat woke up and walked towards me very slowly and her head seemed lion-sized. Gigantacat!

I could write about all my experiences with LSD, mushrooms, psilocybin and peyote, but it's really much more dull than one would think.  I mostly sat around, thinking at length about absurd things, questioned reality, listened to lots of music - most of it very awful, and was mystified by how the grass felt upon my back as I lied on the grass.  Not a bad way to waste some time in your early twenties, but ultimately useless.

I've dealt with a lot of hallucinations in my life.  Not me personally, but dealing with people who have them.  I've got some fun stories there.  So I fully approve of this thread!
