GOG is having a big huge sale on their titles on GOG, including a slew of Sierra titles! Gabriel Knight, King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest...

Any recommendations? I think King's Quest and Gabriel Knight speak for themselves. But a lot of those games I've never seen before. Arcanum seems to be a popular title, but I know nothing about it.

I bought Arcanum at GOG a few sales ago.  I didn't get very far.  It is a cool idea but the game is a mess.

Was coming here to let everyone know if there wasn't a post. I got QFG 1-5, KQ 4-6 and GK1 for $10.37. First time I've bought digital versions of them. Basically a dollar each what a steal.

How is Quest for Glory? I think I have my checkout list ready to go, but I keep looking at QFG. Wondering if I should pass it up for now, and save it for the next sale.  :-\

Honestly? $4 is the best price I can reasonably imagine. For all 5 games, I think it's totally, totally worth it. As much as I love King's Quest, QfG is a beautiful melding of adventure gaming and RPG elements. I really, really, highly recommend it for this price.

EDIT: Aaaand I just bought the QfG pack and Zork: Grand Inquisitor.

I'll friggin' spend $4 to buy you QFG if you're on the fence about it, Fierce Deity, because you need to play it.

PS: I am serious about this.

For $4 definitely bump them on your "to play" list.  I think they are far better than King's Quest and Space Quest.

Even at $10, the QFG games are totally worth it. I hadn't bought them because I'm too busy to actually play them (and I'm accumulating quite a backlog of unplayed games). At $4, it was a no brainer. :)

I ended up picking up both Space Quest collections, all three Gabriel Knight games and the Quest For Glory bundle. I skipped Arcanum. Looking into it, it's a fun game, but only when heavily patched with unofficial fan patches. In which case, I'd rather do without.

Also, thanks for the offer Blackthorne, but your proposition was more than enough to convince me to pick up the QFG games for the low price they were at. I appreciate it though.  ;D

You will not regret the QfG purchase, that's an excellent series. It's likely you may need some patches for those as well, I needed one for an issue I ran into with QfG4, but it's entirely possible they also incorporated that patch since I picked it up from GoG.

Anytime.  I may be a smarmy joker at times, but I'm serious about promoting good adventure games to good fans.

QFG4 from GOG worked fine without me having to patch/fix anything.  I nearly cried tears of joy after I got past the Mad Monk's tomb.

I kinda bought all the Quest games I wanted when they came out at full price.

I did not regret this.
