KNOWN MAC ISSUE - "Unidentified Developer"

If you're trying to run the game on your Mac and you get an error saying that the game "can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" there's a quick fix to resolve the issue. It's just a security setting on your Mac that only allows you to install and run applications that came directly from the Mac app store or previously identified developers. We don't fall into either of those, so a quick setting adjustment is in order:

If you go here:

Apple menu > System Preferences... > Security & Privacy > General tab under the header "Allow applications downloaded from:"

You should see that either the top or middle option is selected. You will need to change this to the bottom "Anywhere" option for Cognition to be playable on your system.
