Alright...by request, here's some pictures of Nova Scotia.

This first one is an aerial of Halifax.  The star shaped business is known as the Halifax Citadel or Citadel Hill.  It's an old fort created in the 1800's to protect the city from incoming ships.  Before all those modern buildings were built, there would have been an excellent view of the entire harbour.  It's all built right into the hill.  If you ever visit Halifax, it's a must-see.  (And they fire the cannons at noon every day, very cool)

Another view of the city taken from the harbour.  That's the Bluenose II ship in the water.  The Bluenose I has a record for being the fasted ship of it's type in the world.  It's also on our dime. (ten cents of our currency)

Here's some other scattered pictures of Nova Scotia.

These are some pictures from the South Shore.  My Mother has a lot of familiy history in this area.

This one is Bridgewater (about 1.5 hours south of Halifax).  One of my best friends currently lives there.



The beautiful town of Lunenburg (where the aforementioned Bluenose was built):



This is Mahone Bay, where some of my uncles live.  My Grandmother on my mothers side also lived here before she passed away.  These are the Churches that overlook the bay:

This here is the infamous Peggy's Cove.  It's the oldest active lighthouse in Canada, and one of the oldest in the world.  Peggy's Cove is also famous for more recent reasons, as there was an airplane crash here.  Swissair Flight 103, I believe.



Here's one of the surf.  The waves can get HUGE here, and some people have been swept away by the huge waves.  The are warnings to not get too close to the water, but some people never listen...

I'm going to do my last stint on the Cabot Trail.  I travelled this with my sister in the summer of 2000.  The pictures will not do it justice.

It's a pretty awesome place.  I grew up in Halifax, but I've visited a lot of those places show.  Still many more places I haven't seen in Nova Scotia.

if and when I'm up for it, I'll have to fire some pictures up from Calgary.
