I wanted to comment on how helpful Neil and Rob are and they are a huge asset to these forums.  Thanks for being a moderater and locking the brr and say post, Rob.  Thanks for all your computer comments, Neil.  Too bad, I cannot meet you in real life and talk about computers.  :<  BTW, as a Microsoft shareholder I have put a proposed proxy at this year's meeting to continue the 9x code but I have not been a shareholder long enough so it will have to wait for next year.  I fully agree with your Windows ME comments, Neil and have reposted your words below.

Same thing goes for programmers, just because they know how to program doesn't mean they're good at it.   Look at Windows ME, it's a program that thousands of programmers worked on, but it's absolute crap.   It should have been at least as stable as Win98 since it is its successor, but it crashes more than Win95, a product 5 years older.  If they performed more quality assurance & testing on the operating system before it was released, the product might have actually been successful, rather than having the reputation of "crappiest Windows O/S ever".

I wouldn't call it a cruel joke. Someone who usually posts every day suddenly stops posting without any prior indication of why, so we worry. What's wrong with that? It's nicer than not caring, isn't it?

I was worried, but then Koko (IIRC) posted that you were just busy with school and stuff, so I knew you were OK.

It's not like B'rrr to just stop posting all of a sudden. Concerning, racx, renfrew and oldbushie, I've become accustomed (?sp) to their temporary disappearances and know they will return eventually. If I disappear longer than a week, I usually let you know in advance.
