Lamb, I think that's the longest post I've ever seen from you!  :o

With a lot of good content, too. See, you aren't always just full of piss and vinegar! (Just mostly.)

From what I recall, TTG got a lot of flack about the gameplay in JP. I'm hoping TWD is a good sign they're moving away from that (especially since one of their next games up is Fables, and I love that comic series, so I hope the game is also a good one).

And yeah--POS and IQ are a different sort from Telltale, and even each other. But it's also kind of nice to know "adventure" can cover so much ground. To me, yeah, adventure game means interaction where characters and story are the focus over the gameplay. Although some cool gameplay is always nice, too. Even if the plot is more there to be discovered than actively determined, it's cool to feel like you're really uncovering it because you've figured it out.

Like, I loved Heavy Rain--but I recognize that game was more playing a movie as it was shown to me than anything else. But I enjoyed that movie a whole lot and I had fun with the interactivity in it.

All the same, I obviously enjoy games like the old KQ games, or the recent Wadjet Eye game Resonance, because those really make me feel I'm the one figuring it out. Not just because I've run out of other options in a section of the game, but because the game actively needs me to figure something out to continue to push the plot forward.

I guess what I'm saying is that I think there's room for a lot of types of adventure games. And that it's awesome to see one win a bunch of really big awards. :)

I'm shocked that Call of Duty didn't win anything in awards run by Spike, of all stations.  They actually picked a fun shooter that wasn't Halo.

Crap, I just lost the betting pool at work.
I have my cake and eat it too, until it's gone.  Then I can't do either.

Aww!  You have the Sword of Hugging +3!  All of your attacks deal affectionate damage!

Bludshot

Playing the Walking Dead now, have played through episode three.  It is fantastic, horribly depressing, but fantastic.
