Well, I'm sure some of you know about The Steam Box. For those that don't, it's basically Valve's answer to pc gaming in the living room. they're working on many different prototypes, some from other hardware manufacturers. One such prototype that particularly caught my attention was from XI3 and their modular computing architecture. Below is a video about their X7A line, which is designed for power users and gaming.

What do you guys think about the Steam Box, and the X7A? Frankly, I love it, and I'm in the market for a new gaming rig anyway. Let's get some discussion going, guys!

Nifty! I'm guessing it's optimized for pure gaming.

The steam box, or the X7A? The steam Box is designed for gaming, while the X7A is designed for power users and gamers. It's also rumored that the Steam Box runs on Linux. It's no secret that Valve has pretty much fallen head over heels in love with Linux.

Apparently I skimmed too much, heh. The X7A looks shiny! I tried a mini-case computer once though and it was far too loud when the fans were running. If computer fan manufacturers ever figure out how to make effective, completely silent fans that cause no vibration, I am *there*.

I haven't really used mini computers before, but I'll probably give this one a shot. A loud fan is a small price to pay for me. I think I can live with it. I just want to know when this will be going on sale.
