Bug in episode 3

I'm trapped in the basement - in an endless loop of the cutscene of Erica using her power to watch Skorobeus forging the wills.  Tried saving and reloading but just takes me to a green screen.  And unfortunately I've been so caught up in the story that I forgot my years of King's Quest and haven't saved for the last couple of hours.  Is there a fix for this, or does anyone have a save game from right before the basement that they can email me?  I can't bring myself to replay the whole thing just to get back to this point.
