tracking pen (episode 3)

Hey guys,

I need some help with the tracking pen in ep. 3. I think I'm supposed to use it on the model upstairs but Keith won't let me. I tried using it in other places, like the bird cage or the coat rack, but that doesn't seem to do the trick. Do I need to distract Keith somehow, so he'll allow me to use the pen? I also thought of the metal figurine, but I don't get an interaction icon on that.

What am I missing?

You're definitely on the right track. What you're looking for is in Cordelia's room. It's not the birdcage, but somewhere more toward the left edge of the screen. The exact thing you're looking for is in spoiler text:

If you haven't tried using your powers, you might want to try that in a certain place in the apartment to help clue you in here. That should definitely clue you in for what you need to do here.

You have the tracker pen and also hopefully Cordelia's necklace in your inventory. Combine them so that the tracker is tracking the necklace. Use precognition powers in the living room to learn that the kitchen table will be searched. Give Keith the necklace and put the tracker pen on the table McAdams will search. This will distract McAdams and solve that section of the puzzle

Thanks Drusain, I found out the problem, and I didn't even need to reveal any of the spoilers. Only problem now is that I've finished Episode 3 and have to wait another couple of antagonizing months to finally see how it all ends...ahh delicious torture
