Wow, I just finished the AGD remake of King's quest I!
It was really good, all the graphics were spot on, except for the portraits, in which, some of them looked kinda blurry or too cartoonish, other then that it was great
If you haven't beat the game or KQ 1 you may NOT want to look ahead *spoilers!* 
The funniest part for me was the mario referance when Graham eats the mushroom and it makes the 'mario shrinking sound'
I died at least 15+ times in the game, it's probably one of the most dangerous King's quest's i've seen/played yet! Falling off the landscape/clouds/in water. Getting killed by the orge (wow that looks violent), witch (two different ways
), giant, wolf, giant rat...
I also drowned underwater in the well once...Did anyone think that Graham could hold his breath alittle longer?
The only thing I found annoying was at one part where I could not figure what to do next (I had just gotten the magic tresure chest) and the rumPLE*stiltskin riddle, I kept spelling his name "Rumpelstiltskin"...go figure...
The nursery rhyme tie in's are very good:
Hansel and Gretel, RumPLEstiltskin, (david and goliath?) and/or Jack and the Bean stalk (I still think the golden egg you find should be some kind of solution to a problem) , leprecons?
