I was in Europe for a month visiting a friend in Germany and working on a farm in Northern Italy through a program called WOOF.
WWOOF?

Yea that's it, I went through the Italian part of it.

This place just isn't as lively without Lambo.

Big C, your trip sounds awesome - and color me jealous!!  I'm definitely going to try and travel a bit after we're done with QFI, that's for sure.

Wow, Katie, just a few months til the wedding!  That's amazing.

It is! I'm excited :)

Also, we drove past a pub called Blackthorn tonight, I thought of you! It's in Southie somewhere.

Haha, I may have to stop there on my next trip out.  I should bestow on them the extra 'e'.  It's what makes you extra special, and I can't hog that all to myself.

Jordan was just mentioning the other day about how she wants to go back to Boston and go to Silvertone again.  We really dug that place.

It's a good place. Though we've got so many good places around Boston, I highly encourage checking some others out too!

I'm working about 70 hours a week.

But at a theater. With people I like. So even though I'm exhausted all the time, my friends don't remember what I look like, and I hardly ever get to be online.... it's good!

Glad to hear you're doing something you enjoy!  But we still need you to come back.

...We need everyone to come back.  When I'm one of the most active people here, we have a problem!

hah "numbers" not a bad way to name... umm... "numbers" I suppose :P

Numbers

The problem is, when I first signed up, it was only to access the download page for TSL. I didn't think I was ever going to participate in the forums, so I just made my username a bunch of numbers that don't mean anything. And I'm too lazy to change it, so...there you have it. A very impractical username finally gets an explanation.

I have been regrettably super-busy with moving house and office work and seeing a friend off to the States. I've tried to pop my head in semi-regularly, but that hasn't produced much activity on my part really. :-\

Even if I don't post for a while I still check the forums a few times a week. I was even checking it on the farm in Italy on my iphone. You know what? There should be some other thread called "Life", in which people continually write about stuff going on, ask for advice, post pics, etc. etc. That would be a pretty cool way of learning more about people on the forum. Just an idea.

Make it! :D

I've been so busy lately. I had a botched arm implant procedure and that meant it took much longer to heal up, so moving my arm very much (and typing) was a no-no. It seems to now have finally healed up after three weeks (it should have taken a day or two max), but it still looks terrible. And then I had to pack up all of my things and leave and get to Vienna and find an apartment and move my stuff in and do lots and lots of paperwork. :S Fun stuff. I love my apartment so much! :D It has 19th century etched glass double doors and parquet floors and really, really high ceilings and it's everything I've ever wanted in an apartment! :D

I concur on the make a "Life" thread idea. Historically, that was the role of the Good & Bad thread and the What's Going On thread (I imagine people find the format a bit restrictive there, though).

I feel like this thread needs to resurface, because it's REALLY been dead around here lately.

So, uh...does anybody have anything they want to talk about? Any good books you've read lately? Any movies you're looking forward to?

I'm excited for the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 4 premiere on November 23rd!

Ooh! And The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in December!

Assassin's Creed 4. I'm so glad I upgraded my system last year: 6 core, 8 gb ram, GTX 660 video card.
I played the Battlefield 4 beta, it was ok, but I am more into story driven stuff.

As far as TV, I've been watching Seinfeld reruns. Also, a Japanese television series called "Zatoichi" from the 70's. It's about a blind swordsman, really cool.
