Welcome to the forum, Jimi!! ;D

Ah yeah... the "Madness of King Graham" easter egg. One of the best ever... definately the best in KQ2+ 8)

I would have never discovered that, what option do you have to chose in the 2nd test? 'Pride above all'?

Jimi

I think that's what I chose... I don't know.

For the first one, I picked the one where he sacrifices himself, then for that one, I can't remember, but I didn't give the crown... It was either the 3rd one or the 5th one.

The 3rd option on the 3rd test would only appear if you answered the first 2 tests correctly - that way you pass the tests even if you choose the easter egg (you only have to pass 2 of the 3 tests to win... the rest is just points). IIRC, the right answer on the 2nd test is "severing the bloodline" 8)

Severing the lifeline. Not bloodline. I picked the madness of King Graham out of boredom and lo and behold (what kind of saying is that?) an easter egg. I cracked up laughing. Then I went to show my dad. He cracked up laughing. Though I'm probably one of 3 people on Earth who can stand and actually LIKE Cedric's voice in KQ5, it was still funny.

Questing Character

Ah, man, my favorite easter egg--probably the biggest reason I will never win KQ2+ with full points more than the one time I did it already. I ALWAYS choose that one!

Draco9898

LOL I just did the Egg, pretty funny, but Cedric would probably notsound like that  ;B Oh well....ROFL

Questing Character

...actually, I thought they said they had the voice actor who did Cedric in KQ5 do the voice for KQ2+... :-\
Maybe I made that up though. XD

Even if they didn't, it sounds A LOT like him. I may like Cedric's voice. But even though I played it with voice when I was like 6, It's one of those voices you NEVER forget.

* Jeysie mutters about how she wishes she could find some free time to play the game, 'cause it always sounds wicked cool...

My favorite part was the book puzzle and probably the really scary parts of the game...Those two ghosts are really really scary and make scarry sounds  XB and probably digging up zombies...(you know how many times I died?)

My least favorite part was the swamp and the thorn 'walk-around' puzzle...yuk..

I also really really like the easter eggs...

You were supposed to eat the sugarcube (or saltcube?  I forget what it was) and the thorn path acts like any other one.  :P

I stand corrected.
"Bloodline" rang more true to me for some reason 8)

OK. I finally installed and starting playing KQ2+ yesterday! I still have no free time, but, whatever. :P

Didn't get to see the "Madness" egg yet, mostly because I like to do things the "right way" first, and by time I got done up the point of doing the Cloud Tests the right way, it was 2AM. Oops.

As far as annoying voices go, though,  IMHO the voices for Possum and Connor were pretty bad. :P And I couldn't shake the thought that the Cloud Spirit sounded like he was kin to Zordon from Power Rangers. I was half-expecting him to say, "And Graham, may the Power protect you!" (And now, of course, I have the mental image of Graham as a Power Ranger in my head, which keeps making me giggle at random moments. My brain needs to get a life!)

Spot on imitation of Murray outside the cave, though.

YAY!!! JEYSIE'S JOINING THE RANKS OF THOSE OF US WHO STAY UP TO THE WEE HOURS OBSESSIVELY PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES!! XB

You might not get full points the first time, Jeysie..there's a few things that I completely missed the first time through, not *too* important but they still get you points!

I never played the game Murray comes from...but I was a bit disappointed by Bonehead.  He was far too gangster-y and not enough like the Bonehead we know and love, if you ask me.
Then again, I did play QfG4 several months after playing KQ2+ so I could be wrong.

Jeysie

Hee! Hey, I've played computer games into the wee morn many a time. (And went into work completely zonked many a time due to it.) I just haven't gotten to do it in a while.

And... dude, you haven't played Curse of Monkey Island? Must-play, must-play, must-play!

Anyhoo. I like what I'm seeing so far (nifty cut-scenes... even if Graham's side-view is better-looking than his close-up...) ... as for what I'm listening, I'm sort of neutral about the voice-acting.

Quote from: Jeysie on July 12, 2004, 09:26:19 PMAnd why IS Graham a cutie in the cutscenes, and kinda, well, unhealthy-looking in the portrait closeups?

Maybe because the cutscenes were KQ5 rip-offs, and the dialogue portraits were done by AGD1? :P

Jeysie

It occured to me to ask... and since the Ugly Mug thread has gotten back on topic... Questie, what was the *other* spot you'd expect a person to get stuck?

I also forgot to mention... I had a strange feeling the cutscene closeups of Graham looked familiar, I just couldn't place why. (Yeah, my memory sucks. :P)

Quote from: Jeysie on July 13, 2004, 11:05:45 AMSo I was right... Graham *does* need a new Court Portrait Painter. ;)

Actually, Valanice's portrait was kinda blah-looking, too.

I didn't like many of AGD1's portraits either... but when I mentioned that on the AGDI forum, it started raining stones ::)

You know, I was thinking I remembered a conversation about that, but I guess it got lost in the Tierra/AGDI forum transference shuffle, because I couldn't find it. Do you know who did what portraits? They weren't all bad... I liked most of them, actually. Or did AGD1 do all of them?
