I've installed my old King's Quest Collection on the laptop at my daycare and now my kids are huge fans! I'd love to get TSL working for them, too. We're running:

Processor: Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU T5750
Physical RAM: 3GB
Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2; 32-bit

The Problem:

I haven't tried anything past chapter 1. If you can't play that one why bother testing the rest (at this point)? The introduction plays fine, and as far as I know walking around works fine, but we only walked as far as Graham's bedroom. The problem happens upon trying to open his bedroom door. The game blackscreens and does the "Windows has encountered a problem. Wait while we try and find a solution" but then it comes up with nothing.

Any help is appreciated!

Try lowering the game's graphical settings to turn off special effects like reflections and so on before leaving the bedroom.

I'll definitely give that a shot tomorrow, thanks!

Just to clarify, the problem occurs *before* Graham ever gets in the bedroom, so I don't know how many reflections or other effects there are in the hallway.

Taking out all the settings seems to have done the trick! Thanks!
