I shouldn't be so nice since it was your second guess ;), but yes, it is from the PQ1 VGA remake. (Yes, they did make one.)

OK, we got the game down, and Draco got the gist of it... we just need the specific place in the game and how.

Well, the death scene would be when you get Marie out of jail, offer your place to stay after you get her out, and her way of thanking you (as she was a hooker) is to get it on.  You're supposed to say no, as you're on duty.

Awh, crud, I dunno.  I remember so little from that game now.  It's been over a decade since I played PQ1! :P

As for the VGA remake....ooh, where can I get a copy?! (and would it run on this thing?) :D

It's a general death message, so you just have to find the game it's from. I'm pretty sure there's at least one person on the forum who played this game ;)

lol! Its Altered Destiny by Accolade!  (thats one of my all time favorite text-parser games) A tad on the hard side when it comes down to walking accross ledges and the like... but, oh well...  :D

A TAD on the hard side? that game is IMPOSSIBLE!! literally impossible, when you consider I always get this bug that keeps me from getting to the diviner's island :furious:

lol! Seriously, that game is impossible on modern speed machines... (im pretty sure that diviner bug is caused by the floating green things going warp 9 across the screen)

Though I never played Zork, so I wouldn't know which one or when exactly... :( Or whether it is really a game parodying Zork. ;)

I looked up the death message, it was in someone's blog. ;) Seems to mostly happen when you walk through pitch darkness for about 2 or 3 screens at any point in the game. ;P
