Hi,

I was playing on a macbook air (OSX 10.9.5) and the battery ran out while the game was running. When I rebooted it there was no option to 'continue' and all the manually saved games had been wiped. I'm sure this come down to the decision to use the /Users/[username]/Library/Caches folder as the place for saves, particularly after reading some of the other posts about data lost after upgrade or reboot.

I have not created any cache clearing scripts so however the files were deleted, it must have been an OS process. I don't know enough about mac library folder paradigms, but just judging by the problems being encountered by other users and me and the fact that the folder is named 'Caches' it seems that this really isn't the right place to store save files.

Oh, and thanks for the amazing game !

Hi jubei123, sorry to hear about your save wipe!  Let us know where you left off and we can send you a save to at least save you some replay.

It is a sad fact that Macs do wipe their caches and Unity does choose to save by default under the cache.
We are looking into a solution for this.

Glad you like the game!
