Mac Yosemite upgrade - can't load saved games

I just upgraded my Mac to Yosemite and the save game menu is blank.  I was partly through day3.
It there a patch and how do It get it?

Never mind - I just saw the other posts concerning this. Sucks big time.
I wonder something - I know in unix you can store files in one place and have a pointer in another that points to them.   Maybe something like that can be done?  Might mean providing a script for Mac users to ran to set it up.  Or when the Mac version is quit - run a script to copy to a backup area.
