That's why you shake it up enough to emulsify it.  ;B

I like Italian and French dressing.

I like Cesar Salads (when Neil doesn't have him in an oven, he's apparently a salad)  and Greek Salads (minus the olives..I dislike the olives muchly).

I tihnk for supper tonight I'm going ot go to the grocery store, get some beef, onions, and a taco making kit thingy.  Mmm, tacos.

I also have this seasoning stuff I bought at the Calgary Stampede.  You mix 1 cup of Mayo and 1 cup of sour cream plus this seasoning, let it chill for an hour, and then you have dip!  I think I'll make dill tonight and have it with some pita bread. (I don't eat potato chips any more...)

In the poor fellow's defense, it's Caesar when you're talking about the salad. (Pronounced differently, too.) ;)

Way to take ALL THE FUN out of that little joke... :P

In Jeysie's defense, Cesar changes his name when he's a salad because he doesn't want people to know it's him. :P I mean, what would they think??

Yonkey

In the salad's defense, it's not its fault for having a similar name to Cesar.  XD

Back on  topic... sort of...

I like: anything that meaty and fried... (yes I'm going to die early but happy  :) )

I'm not a fan of what most would call healthy foods... a cardiologist is going love me!

I do like humus though...perhaps my saving grace...

I'm semi-fortunate... I actually like healthy foods, for the most part. I like fruits and vegetables... indeed, when I was a kid, I used to eat the vegetables and hide the meat in a napkin! :suffer: Even now, the only meat I really have a major taste for is chicken. There are some other meats I like in small doses, though. I also like whole-grain cereals and breads and that sort of thing.

My main downfalls, weight-wise, is that I get hungry all the time, and I have a weakness for dairy products, especially cheese.

Drink lots of water when you're hungry.  I find it tends to help.

Or eat six, notably smaller, meals a day.  Your metabolism works better if it's always working.

Heh. When I'm home, I usually don't have a problem. Unfortunately, trying to keep my stomach happy with my schedule on work days is nigh impossible. :P Eating one third of my lunch every couple hours helps a little, but it's still not great.

I wish my body would just work like everyone else's does. :P </rant>

And, if any of you discover you've got Crohn's disease, James' advice is KEY.  I've got to do that, I need to have twice the daily calories of a normal person to sustain my weight (and since I'm still ten pounds less than what they want me to have.... ::)) ANyhow, the point I was making is that James has hit the hammer with the nail!  Or some old adage involving hammers and nails.... 8)

You know, when it somes to the food they would love to eat the most right now, it is usually widely different if the question was: what kind of food would you eat if you had to eat only that every day for the rest of your life.

So that's what I'm asking. What dish/food would you choose if you were only allowed to eat that for the rest of your life? And the reasoning behind is NOT whether it holds more nutrients or is easy to make etc. The sole reason behind your answer should be what food would taste best in the long run, the enjoyment of eating it for the long haul.

I think my choice is lasagna.

ICE CREAM!

But I would have to move closer to the equator. :-\

Also, weight trainers/muscle guys/etc. eat about 5 or 6 meals a day...sometimes with a meal being just a protein shake.  But it's having something in your stomach that will get your metabolism up that works.

Manocotti...mmmmm (I know, I know, my spelling's horrible :P)

I realize that this is only one fitness person's opinion, but they suggest that protein shakes are enough.  You should be having foods that are naturally high in proteins.  Like cottage cheese + yogurt as a meal.  Or a smoothie made with fruit and yogurt, chicken breast, etc.
One of the key things to point out, too, it to have a active lifestyle.  The workout plan that this fitness monkey had was for working out 45 minutes a day, maximum....but it's supposed to be an intense workout.

AANYWAY, enough of my ramblings on that.  If I could only do what I say, I wouldn't be such a chubby man. :)

As for one food that, if I had to, I would eat every day for the rest of my life...

...well, I'm not sure there is one.  No matter how much you enjoy a certain food, you're bound to get sick of it after awhile and wish for something else.

But Lasagna would be good.  Canneloni (sp?),  Chicken wings.  Lots of stuff I really really like....but yeah, can't eat one thing forever.

I could probably eat pizza forever.  There are thousands of combinations and not all are unhealthy.  ;P

And yeah, you could lose weight fast by replacing junk food with healthy junk food (i.e. fruit & veggies, soy or ultra-low fat rice cakes, etc), until you quit eating junk altogether, and of course drinking lots of water.  :)

Yeah, I used to drink pop and crap whenever I was driving places (ie: Whitecout to Calgary) but have since changed to water or juice.  It's made a noticable difference.  The fact I haven't eaten potato chips in some time also helps.
And snacking is actually quite alright, as long as it's low calorie and healthy stuff.  Like veggies, of course.  some fresh green pepper, broccoli, cauliflour, carrots, etc....good stuff! <3
