Detailed Walkthrough NOT Just Hints?

OK, got the Steam edition of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary edition.

Problem, none of the old Hint walkthroughs work, and the in-game hint system is very sketchy.

Example: Day 3

The old hints say when Gabriel returns to his shop, "A neighboring shop owner will come in to ask about buying your painting."

What painting 

According to the in-game Hint system, I've done everything for Day 3 up to making the 'bracelet mold.'

Now I'm stuck, help 

Really need a detailed walkthrough for this game.

You can find a companion booklet/guide and a detailed point list here. Are you sure you did all of the tasks in the hint system though? It's possible you may have found a bug.
