The Genius of the new KQ

I was thinking about the new KQ game, and it really is a genius idea:

Each of the Chapters take place between the other KQ games, with part of the first Chapter, for example, we play as Graham pre-KQ1; we've also been told we'll get to play his very last adventure as an old man. This game is set across 5 Chapters, each Chapter taking place in a different world with a different storyline, so in essence, we're getting 5 games in one, and not only that, but we're basically running the gamut from KQ0 to an actual KQ9 (given that it is stated we're playing his "last adventure as an old man", and Graham wasn't anywhere near old in KQ5)...So with this game, we're getting a KQ9, but a whole lot more than that, which is really genius.

Thanks for that reply, it really added a nice dose of passive-aggressive-ness to the thread.

GrahamRocks!

...But I was agreeing with you. It IS pretty dang cool!

GrahamRocks is not aggressive, by any stretch of the word. I'm aggressive. And I'm going to get more aggressive if you continue to make smart remarks about GrahamRocks. This is the second time in a row you've accused her of being passive-aggressive when she clearly isn't. Leave her alone.

Weeeellll... to be fair, that first post on that other thread was basically me saying, "Uh, okay. I mean, that's kinda interesting. But why bring it up?" which might actually been seen as me making a snide remark.

Jack Stryker

One thing I found pretty amusing, is how the death screens are similar to the Prince of Persia in Sands of Time, saying things like: "Wait, that didn't happen.  Let me start again."  In Graham's case, he'll say: "That's what would have happened if I'd done it that way."  Or "Sorry, just making sure you were paying attention."

Numbers

Um...Monkey Island 2 did it first?

Jack Stryker

I said it was amusing, not original.

Numbers

It's neither, actually. It's been done before, and better. And throughout all of this hype, all I'm seeing is a bunch of kissasses praising TOG when they don't have any idea whether their new game is good or not.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

What most of us have seen has impressed us so far. You have no qualms to be negative anymore than we have to praise it. It hasn't even come out yet.

I apologize. It's hard to read tone through text and I thought it was sort of a condescending nodding head; It was my mistake and I apologize for coming off combative.

GrahamRocks!

Thanks for apologizing!

That marks the second time I've had my remark taken as condescending when I didn't mean to.

On the bright side, I'm pretty easy to read. Like a coloring book.

I think the non-death stuff works. I mean, he's telling his young granddaughter a story--it makes sense to avoid death somehow, and that makes it kind of cute and fitting the scenario, IMO.

"And then, my dear Gwendolyn, the dragon rent me apart with its teeth, teeth like a stainless steel knife collection. My entrails spilled onto the floor, and I clutched my intestines, desperately trying to reign them back in, when with a swipe of its claws, my head separated from the rest of my body, as dragon claw tore through my skin and bone like a katana through butter. A hissing sigh escaped my exposed trachea, and--"

"Grandpa, what are you doing?!"

"Hush, Gwen. The fans have been waiting over a decade to see me die in whole new ways."

-Graham falls off a cliff and screams-

Gwen: "Grandpa, you just screamed in my ear!"

And since he's there to tell the story, he obviously didn't die!
