I ask question over year ago on a different thread that I started and never got an answer. ... What is the system requirements for episode 5 will be. Hopefully when ever the update makes it appearance the people that been here since it been started (like me) will be able to run it.
Sorry we missed your previous question, dasdean. Episodes 1-4 were made in a very obsolete game engine that had been modified by the TSL team to do things it was never meant to do. They were working with what was available at the time, but it can cause a lot of problems with newer machines and operating systems.

Episode 5 is being made in Unity, which is a modern engine. It should run well on newer machines. I'm not sure what the exact requirements are, but they're nothing outrageous.

...and Shalkar learned nothing from being banned. What a twist.

Just a question to your explaination, Steve, is that why with windows 10 you have to play as Admin where in Windows 7 & even vista you didn't have to? (otherwise when you save the game never saves)

Well, I was just joking. An Jen I'm sorry I got your message. I just get in those silly moods at times an yeah it wasn't nice of me. Once this game is finished I'll be so happy you all might not hear from me in ssy a year. :). No one tells a story better than phenoix online  ;D

Is anyone a leisure suit larry fan? I found a new game. It's pretty good.

Numbers

All right, the day of reckoning is here. Does the staff have any updates to share?

Happy new Year to the team!
Grateful about a free game currently in development & offering support to the dev team in hopes the final episode will be released. Will keep waiting for updates.

Hmmm. Okay. What does this have to do with what's going on with the Silver Lining Project?  ???

Numbers

For once, I'm on Shalkar's side. What does that video have to do with anything?

Maybe it is to demonstrate that the official KQ series had a 'closure' with KQ8 then what TSL currently has with ... nothing . . .  :-\ :-\
It seems totally incredible to me now that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling, softened almost into melody by the distance ...

It is a bit disconcerting that I asked for a status update on the game near the end of last year, Katie said she'd be on it by January of this year, and now we're 2/3 of the way through January with not a hint of updates. That being said, you don't need to "back me up" at all; I was just curious, and I'm sure the constant complaining (by certain forum members who shall remain nameless in this post) has been grating on them. Take your time, POStudios, but remember that, as Say once said to me, no one's patience is infinite.

Hey guys, sorry for that long lapse. We are working on putting together an update for you, I am hoping that will be ready before the end of the month. :)

That's the thing that I now have with TSL. It's been over 10 years now since I joined and a couple of years since I played the earlier chapters. Right now they have become on a point where it's just a linger instead of a memory and I'm really wondering if I should play chapter 5 when it comes out. It's the same with Half-Life's City17 storyline, which never gotten any conclusion and for that respect, the competition didn't stand still either and already have overtaken HL2 and TSL . . .

Apologies for the delayed response here, mainly I was attempting to illustrate with this most recent Video link of mine that no matter what the Phoenix Online Studios released as a final chapter would probably be light years more in line with the actual King's Quest series than what Roberta Williams and her ever-shifting technological upgrading team was able to produce at the end there. Maybe they should just call it King's Quest The Silver Lining: Epilogue instead of Chapter 5 considering it's been so many years since any final product was put out between the previous Chapters, which seemed to be fairly regularly delivered. On top of that there was that whole rights debacle initially and most people, like myself, basically wrote off the entire idea after the initial previews having known Sierra (or whoever Vivendi?) track record with sharing their licenses. So I had not even known that the previous Chapters were even finished until just last year but I'm sure that when they got the Green-light back then they were pretty energized and that allowed to team to do the spectacular Job that they did. Just sayin'.  ;)

p.s. similar to this fantastique Godfather: Epilogue FanEdit of the long delayed Godfather: Part 3 https://ifdb.fanedit.org/the-godfather-epilogue, downloadable from Fanedit.info here http://fanedit.info/files/spicediver_godfa-epilogue.rar

p.p.s. must own Original Movie before downloads ;)

Titling it as Epilogue makes no sense, because the fourth episode cuts off at a cliffhanger. The term Epilogue implies that "the story is over, let's tie up some loose ends here", and considering that we're clearly have reached a CLIMAX but not a proper CONCLUSION to the story, that wouldn't be seen as a good thing. An epilogue would be showing us what they're doing after the story ends, not the actual last part of the story.
