I've been lurking on Sundays for the past few months (I think that it's been), checking to see whether there has been any news on The Silver Lining.

So it's good to read a new update, and that things are progressing indeed! ^_^

To the developers, thank you for the update--it's appreciated--and good luck with the remainder of development! I hope that the remaining work runs smoothly, and that the final game is one that you feel proud of. ^_^

Oh hey, it's Enchantermon!
Indeed! :) I still lurk occasionally for TSL updates. Unfortunately, I don't have enough spare time to be able to hang out like I used to.
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Yes it does, Shalkar.  that's what my laptop runs, and it runs the games fine, though I've noticed I have to set the properties of the game icon to run as admin (or else the game doesn't save when I save the game)

Cool. I am so excited. I feel as if chapter 5 will blow all the other chapters out of the water. I hope there are at least two or three different endings like conquest of the longbow. Where you choose between the silver cloaks or the black cloak society just like the silver cloak guy you find in chapter 2 on the isle of wonder.he says you have a choice.  ;D 8)

That would be neat, Shalkar.  One of the Nancy Drew games has an alternate ending, by which choice you make with telling on the culprit or keeping their secret; when I play that one (#23: Shadow At The Water's edge, it takes place in Japan) I have before that spot, then play both endings)

Cool. Perhaps I will get into some Nancy Drew games. I seen it advertised on YouTube an thought why not. :)

Perhaps Episode 5 is in the works still? Any news updates??

I'd say it's about time for another update. The previous one was on January 31, and we're about a third of the way through May. Is there any info you'd like to share?

Hi all,
I've been thinking about writing on the forum for some time now. I guess I'm one of the "silent" readers, I've read all the posts since the start of the forum. There must be many more like me who are still interested on the progress of this wonderful game. Therefore I like to say you guys are great and I can't wait to read the next update, even if it's about bugs or if you got stuck in an infinite loop or something. ;) I'll keep reading until the game is ready.
Now, I'm going to try and play the previous episodes on win10, I didn't think that was possible.  ;D

I don't think that Episode 5 will ever come. Too much time has passed and for me, the interest is lost. Besides that, I think that a moment will come that Vivendi will say "you're not doing anything anymore" and decide to revoke the licence they have given POS regarding the use of King's Quest assets.

The same thing happened also with CBS and Star Trek (original series), although for other reasons but at a certain moment, CBS decided to revoke all the licences for Star Trek hobby projects. Certain good projects were axed because of that and the same thing will happen with TSL here. Shame, but alas . . .
It seems totally incredible to me now that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling, softened almost into melody by the distance ...

Vivendi doesn’t own KQ anymore. Activision does.
