Whoever votes for #1 gets sniped, courtesy of the King's Quest IX Development Team.  :suffer:  8)

You can pick the series you've never played, because obviously you never liked it enough to play it.  Also, please specify why you didn't like the series.

The basic concept/jokes/etc. I tried one of the old DOS ones, that lasted about 3 minutes.

I'm with Louisiana... never cared for LSL. IMHO the series relied too much on thinking that off-color humor is inherently funny... there wasn't enough wit or variety for my tastes.

I'm going for QfG.  I never liked RPG's and even if this game was really popular, it wasn't popular enough for me.  Even AGDI's remake doesn't interest me much.  :-\

Well, never played GK or LB, but I chose QfG because I did play it and never really liked it.  Conceptually it seemed neat, but I never got into it.

And whoever voted for Police Quest is a big jerk. (Just kidding....sort of :D)

As for those who didn't like LSL, wow....I thought they were hilarious.  and LIZ, c'mon!  It's based almost entirely on PERVYNESS and dorky jokes! :o :o

Unfortunately, they were very LAME pervy and dorky jokes. I already get enough of those from Harrison... I don't need them from my PC games too. ;)

And I'll note that IMHO GK was Sierra's best series, and almost anyone who hasn't played it, should. (I'm not sure if Koko would like it.) ;D

I'll go with Police Quest and/or Laura Bow, simply since I haven't really played them. I did try PQ1, but wasn't that taken by it. Both games are still on my "to play" list - I have nothing against them, it's just that I find other themes more appealing 8)

Agh, I'm the only one here who will probably vote for the King's Quest (and you can't snip me, I'm a chick  ;D).  The only real issue that I had with KQ was the fact that if you forgot to pick up an item and you progressed too far into the game, you weren't able to go back to get the item so you had to start all over again.  Otherwise the series was perfect, with KQ1-6 being my favourites.

My favourite had to be QFG since while you were trying to solve a puzzle, you could go off and fight 'baddies' while subconsiously still thinking about a solution to the problem.  I thought that this was a great concept since you could see your character progress in a non-linear fashion and you didn't have to sit around for days on end trying to solve a puzzle and having nothing else to do in the mean time.  Quest for Glory 1 and 4 were my favourites.

I've only played space quest 1 & 4 using a walk through, so I haven't really formed an opinion on the series.

I've never player Police Quest, Gabriel Knight, or Laura Bow.

Leisure Suit Larry was pretty amusing  ;D

OMG! PWINCESS HATE US!  :(
lol :P

Im shocked to see the voting so far myself :P NEIL HOW CAN YOU HATE QFG! ;P lol, and oh my I loved Larry... :P so, Im going to actually agree with storm's reply (PQ /LB) because I never got to play those :P

The "dead-ends" that Pwincess is describing existed in KQ5 and under, which I hated as well.  KQ6 and up never had them, and you can be damn sure KQ9 isn't gonna have any. XD

Jeysie

Actually, KQ6 does have dead ends.... it's just that usually the game is good about killing you off for it before you get too far.

I think there's only one spot where getting into a dead end doesn't kill you off, but it's pretty obvious you doofed on that one. :P

Peace & Luv, Liz

Pwincess

Thank goodness KQ9 isn't going to have any dead-ends!   :D

Yonkey

Hehe.  Yeah, when I was reading KQ9's script I kept checking with Cesar for all possible dead-ends.  Cesar's even written up walkthroughs for all the chapters, so I believe he's already ensured himself that there won't be any dead ends.  :)
