I think I have the right company, I'm looking for that book now. If I have the right company, they made countless hardware/software advancements, but never took advantage of them. I don't know why.

Xerox sounds right to my memory. (Of course, this is my memory, so take that with a teaspoon of salt.
)
Both Apple and M$ definitely did some "borrowing" from *some* company, I do remember that.
