Oooh, can you explain a bit more about air pistol Storm?  :D I only heard the announcer talk about it, but I never saw what it actually was.  :-\

Well, AFAIK it's basically a gun that fires little metal pellets and is use in sports for target shooting. My brother used to practice shooting it back when he was in highschool (or was it an air rifle? or both? I forget). I think it's the same as a BB gun :-\

Yeah, I've got a few sites bookmarked like that, but I had to type it out into 'table' code for the fourm, otherwise it's all over the place.  ;)

That's absolutely ridiculous!
The Iranian thought he was proving a good point, but he instead is completely missing the point of the Olympics, a time to put aside differences and compete in a sportsman like comp.

I think he's made himself look quite a fool...

No more on this I guess.   :-\

Thanks for the links, Alex and Jon.  Since I haven't been around a TV the last couple of days, I had no clue how the medals were coming out.  Has anyone been watching the women's gymnastics?? How is that one looking?  Or better yet, does anyone have a link?

I asked my parents to tape it...but I don't know if they did.  Anyway, the whole time I watch, I'm as tense as anything because I'm scared to death that they're going to fall and hurt themselves!

Didn't ya'll win a silver in one of the swimming races??  I think I remember reading that somewhere.

Plus, just a small piece of trivia I learned Friday during the opening ceremony.  Did ya'll know that between 81-89 (don't remember the exact number) of the 202(?) countries competing have NEVER won a single medal.  I don't know whether this is for both Olympics or just the summer one...but I found that interesting.
