Pommel horse. :D

Looks like *all* the gymnastics teams are doing sweet tonight... very nice! ;D

And the whole twin thing is kinda surreal-looking, isn't it? XD

Whoo, wowee, what a roller coaster ride *that* was! Japan totally rocked like boulders with their high bar... what an awesome way to get a gold. I feel so sorry for the Romanians, though... that had to hurt a *lot*. :( Still, they pulled in a first team medal... very sweet.

Peace & Luv, Liz

I'm not sure if it was the US guy or not, but I caught a glimpse of one of the males in a blue and white ( not sure if I saw red ) outfit, he was mid routine on the pommel I think and jumped off... you could see on his face... "Awwww  no medal for me..."

 ;)

Catching up to who?
 :P
Yesterday...
China was +4 gold
Australia +2 Gold
USA +2 Gold.....

You caught upto Japan, but still 2 golds behind them.

Considering the US was in the lead during pommel, and did solidly, I somehow doubt it was then, Grundy. ;) The US team was wearing mostly red, anyways.

Now, the rings, *that* was disappointing. The vault, too... I think Young was actually lucky with his score, considering... I expected worse. :P

From 7th place, to 4th(according to the site you named)? Doesn't sound too bad to me.

If it wasn't for those super-human chinese, the Aussies would be on top.  :lovegoggles:

I'm still trying to figure out what they're doing! Super-human seems to be the best word for them.

At any rate, don't get too cocky, Grundy. I can't wait to see how the ladies do in the gymnastics finals. :lovegoggles:

I just learned something interesting. Per capita, Finland has won more medals than any other nation.

Isn't CC from Finland, or was that the Netherlands?

CC's from Belgium, hon.

As for the ladies... I'm kind of sorry that women's gymnastics is so weighted towards young' uns. Svetlana Boguinskaya was one of the most wonderful gymnasts to watch on the floor. And on the US side, I liked Amanda Borden. She was one of the few gymnasts who looked and acted like she actually enjoyed being at the Olympics. (Most of them look like they're marching off to war.)

I seem to be missing the majority of the Olympics. This is the third time, that I've payed much attention to the Olympics. Like Rob, I'd rather participate in a sport, than just being a spectator. Well, unless I was playing against Olympic athletes.  XD

EDIT: I forgot CC mentioning that.  ;]

I just remembered the word Flemish(since I'm unfamiliar with the word, Finland seemed the most likely nation).

In the same diving event as the chinese guy, just a few dives after ( All this for medals ), a russian hit his feet on the board on the way down and the yanks stuffed up, they were perfectly in sync, accept one did a different dive... lol
 :o

Oh and the Aussies got Bronze in that diving event, it was actaully Greece who got Gold, their first for the games.

Ian Thorpe is the FIRST person ever to get 5 gold medals in one sport at the olympics!  8)

Now, some Trivia!  :o

Question:
In US shoe size, what is the size of Ian Thorpe's feet?
 ;)

First persons COUNTRY to get it wins a 1 day 'cease-fire' from me.  XD
