Heck, that's nothing. Australia competed in the women's eight rowing final, and one of the women actually stopped rowing! :o That took a couple of days to properly die down.

Australia did good in all the diving. !!!

Pretty sweet... you folks had no diving medals before, then you blew onto the scene this time around and scored 6 medals, IIRC.

Of course, next time, who wants to bet that China's gonna get all the gold and silver and everyone will be battling for bronze?

This was probably the first olympics that I saw the most of.  The one good thing about not being in school or employed...  ::)

I caught all but a couple of the 4-hour prime-time slots. :) Diving, Gymnastics, Swimming, and Track and Field, mostly.

The Olympics are pretty much the only time I watch TV.
