Phoenix Online is extremely excited to announce that we are working with Jane Jensen on the 20th Anniversary Remake of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers!

Formerly known as "MGX", the game's title has been revealed, along with the updated theme song and some gorgeous screenshots--read more at our blog and check out the new GK website!

Thanks Katie.  As the icebreaker question, I noticed the original announcement says that the release will be on PC, Mac, iPad, and Android, but then the FAQ just advertises PC, Mac, and iPad.  Is there going to be an Android release of the game?  I'd like to see how it looks on the Galaxy Note 2 if possible ;D

Looking forward Moebius soon and GK next year.

Yes, it will be on Android! :) It may not release there at the same time as the other platforms, but it is definitely planned for it.

I'm super excited about this remake! I remember loving Gabriel Knight back in the day, but this will make it accessible to a whole new audience that's never played a game with pixel graphics or MIDI sound.

When I came to the forum and saw "Re: Phoenix Online is de...", I thought for a moment that the D word was "dead."  Don't scare me like that!

Bit of a Necropost here, but - Gabriel Knight going to be at Gamescom?

Awesome! I've already bought an advance copy... when I logged in one of the files was an OST- I assume it's simply a placemarker for when GK is finished and then the download link will have the full game in it instead :)

Get excited everyone! Gabe is back!! Now if only Dean (not the hair) Erickson was still in the acting business and Joanne (Knock-your-socks-off) Takahashi is still available but I guess a time machine is out of the question :(

I'm still hanging for this!

Thanks :)

Love Luke

I have a question.  Will there be additional content or is this just a facelift of the original game?  Either way I am looking forward to playing it.  The graphics look great.

It's mostly the same game, but with a few alterations on the puzzles and areas (but more than 90% the same). There's also Special Edition content that you'll be able to access as well.

Hi and thanks for the remake!
I haven't played a really good adventure game since my time with GK.

When will the iPad version release? What are the tech specs in terms of memory, iOS version etc?
Thanks!

Revolution has showed that it is possible to release Android games more and less at the same time as for Ipad. Hopefully you will follow them and not release for Android a year later. Sadly I get the feeling it is the latter after reading your blog.
Being a long time player of adventure games I really hope you will prove me wrong though.
